Hannah I read Storm Siren by Mary Weber which is about Nymia, a female Elemental (she can make it storm just by using her mind/body) who shouldn't have been able to be born. Once her powers are discovered she is whisked away from her life as a slave and trained to fight in a war that she is still on the fence about.

I've read this one last year and liked it. I had a few issues with it, but I want to continue on with the trilogy and am planning to read book 2 for one of the categories here. I even think it's this one!

Natália Lopes (silkcaramel) My actual pick for this was City of Lost Souls (The Mortal Instruments, #5) by Cassandra Clare by Cassandra Clare, the 5th installment in the Mortal Instruments series. I'm finally catching up with the Shadowhunters world! This book was kind of a disappointment for me after being so engrossed in the last book. IDK, I don't like Clary & Jace's relationship much (or the actual characters) and this book was them making out a lot, Clary being reckless, and the whole plot was basically a set up for the showdown in City of Heavenly Fire. BUT, there were some amazing character development with the secondary characters, so that made up for a lot of my other issues with the book. I gave it a 3 stars.
