Our group rather liked this book, giving it 4.375 out of 5 stars. Now, full disclosure, only a few of us seemed to be able to get through it in its entirety. Personally, I really valued the experience Klay's book offers, though I did find some of its brutalities challenging and understood that the content is not for every reader. That said, finishing Klay's book is not nearly as important as the "engagement" with its content represented by the act of picking up the book and giving it some of your time. (Thank you, Vince, for giving us some of your time.)
P.S. In explanation of that last cryptic remark of the comment above: Vince, a veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan, a former Army Ranger, and a reader also of Klay's book visited us on Monday night to talk about his experiences being deployed and his experiences with "Redeployment."
