Amy (DemonKittie) (demonkittie) | 340 comments My grandmother became incredibly ill on December 28th. She went to the ER and was admitted. We thought we would lose her then because she was bleeding internally. She actually got better in regards to that, but she also had a-fib and congestive heart failure.

She went into hospice care on the 4th at an assisted living facility and she slowly passed away. She took her final breath January 9th at 9:23 AM. I am updating this month's newsletter and getting it set up for next month and then will be dealing with more things around the house and reading.

My grandmother lived with my mother and I for the past 5 years, so this death hit me particularly hard. Being bipolar and having anxiety it's not a great experience, but I am glad she is not in pain anymore.

Thank you all for understanding. It's been an incredibly hard last few months losing our dog on December 8th and then this. I will be taking a little time, but I will be on here every few days.

Thank you!

I understand how you are feeling especially having anxiety and panic disorder and losing a loved one.
Losing a grandparent is like losing your heart, a home, warmth and safety.
I am always here to chat if need be xo

Jane (janeinri) | 129 comments Very sorry to hear - no matter how old they are it's always too soon. My mom died 2 years ago on the 9th (dad 17 years ago on the 10th) so yesterday & the day before were tough on my kids and me. We miss her a lot. My oldest also struggles with bi-polar, anxiety, and other things. She lived in my mom's in-law apartment for the last 4 years of her life, and enabled my mother to stay in her home up until her last 3 months. I know they really helped each other. It sounds like you had the same kind of relationship.

And I didn't know about your dog - wow, double whammy. Dogs are part of our families, and I know for many they are "comfort dogs" that help with anxiety.

Give yourself time and treat yourself well.

Again, my condolences.

Jane
