This was our first pick

Aimee (pebbles320) Oh whoops, forgot about this one! Thanks for adding it to the group.

As no one has discussed this yet I thought I’d chime in!

The book itself reads like really cheesy fan fic, I love that there’s a story continuation but it doesn’t feel on par with the rest of the published works.

That being said it is much more spectacular as a play, the visual play on stage is amazing but I still felt that story line was sub par for official Potter canon.

Aimee (pebbles320) Yes I agree Kristine. I haven't seen the stage show, and it's hard to really get into a book that's written as a play, but it didn't have the same feel to it. I enjoyed it - a lot more than I expected to actually - but it was more like reading a short story on Pottermore than really getting back into the world of HP.

Aimee (pebbles320) Also I was disappointed with the queerbaiting between Albus and Scorpio - I felt sure that they were going to end up as a couple and I was really annoyed when they both kept fawning over Rose. It felt like they wanted to give us a queer romance story but shied away from it at the last minute.

Oh definitely on the queer bating- it’s even more in your face in the play and something I didn’t like either.

I would definitely recommend seeing the play if you get the chance though because it is beautifully done on stage!

Yeah, I’d love to see it live, but I agree with you folks. My other HP books stay on the shelf. I’ve no qualms about donating this one to a thrift shop.

Well if they don't and you ever head towards London there is a spare room in my flat!
