What were your impressions of Jenna?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 849 comments I really liked her. I was surprised when she chose not to write about what happened. She was rocked by the experience and will need time to come to terms with it. She was also rocked by Gabe and it will be interesting to read their book.

I think her being in the middle of the experience had a profound effect on her. It's one thing to be told about those events but when you live it, that significantly changes your perspective. It didn't surprise me that she opted to ditch the story given how deeply she seemed to have been changed by the massacre and the revelation about it being a bigger operation.

I liked her gutsiness and humor. When she was abducted and held in the jail, her mindset kept her sane. However, when she realized she was going to be violated, her focus was on taking out as many as she could, even though she knew she'd lose. And, she made no bones about being scared to death.

I like this character and look forward to her story with Gabe.

Quynh (quynh_o) | 134 comments I liked Jenna. She had guts and in the midst of her situation, she tried to find humor to cope with it. Really like to see how her interactions with Gabe will continue in the next book. The "so-so" comments between made me laugh.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments I have to admit I don't see a relationship potential between these two characters. It will take a lot for Gabe to come back into the light, for one thing.

Jenna has learned a real lesson about true journalism's goals (or is that medicine's???) -- above all, do no harm!
