Lately many groups have been doing this challenge, and so I thought it could be a great idea!

AIM: reading 1 million pages during 2017

HOW:
1) comment here below to participate
2) each time you complete a book, comment in your "private" topic that I'll open copying and completing the format here below

Title:
Author:
Number of pages:
Total of pages: (here you sum the pages of all books. If so far you've red 200 pages and this book has got 256 pages, you'll write 200+256=456)

NOTES:
- if you don't know that book to read, ask for help here
- rereads count
- graphic novels/manga don't count in this challenge
- if you DNF a book, write only the pages you actually read
- if you think the goal is a little bit to ambitious for you alone, collaborate with all of us :D

PARTICIPANTS' challenge's topics:
- Alaska
- Arya
- Emily
- Jannin
- Sibil
- Stefania

Good luck!

Total of pages so far: 8862 + 3221 + 2139 + 3817 + 5862 = 23 901

Sibil I do not think I can read 1 million pages this year but I can try! So count me in!

Bu I have a couple of question... If I start now I can count the pages that I read in january and in the first half of february, or I have to start from now?
And second question, is a little silly but I have to ask. In the post above is written "here you sum the pages of all books. If so far you've red 200 pages and this book has got 256 pages, you'll write 200+256=456" when you say "this book has 256 pages" you mean the previous book read, right? Not the currently one, because if the book has 256 pages I couldn't read 456 pages, is that right? (Sorry but sometimes I got confused! )

Of course, you start counting from the first book you read in January :D

I'm not really sure to have understood your question but I'll try to explain myself better xD

I have book 1 (200 pages) and book 2 (256 pages)
When I write the total of pages in the second book I write the pages of the first (200) + the pages of the second (256) and write the result (456)

If you add a third book you'll sum the previous result (456) to the number of pages of the book 3

Is it a little bit clearer like this? :D

If you want you can check my challenge to see how I've done it^^

Sibil Oh, that's great! And your explanation was perfect, thank you! :)
As soon as I am able to use the computer I would start to add at the pagesl count!

Welcome aboard *---* Your topic is ready!

Jannin (The Booknerd Dragon) (janninthebooknerddragon) | 8 comments I wanna join but I mostly read in Kindle and eBook readers. How do I count the pages of that? There are times that the page count on ebooks are different on the actual print book right? What do I do to count my ebook reads? Do I refer to the page count here in Goodreads?

Woah, nice question!
Well, if it's not a problem you could check the number of pages of the ebook version on sites like Amazon, but if you prefer a quicker solution you can just put the pages written on Goodreads^^

Do you want me to open your challenge topic? :D
