Greg | 3 comments -I must have read the series about 8 years ago
-I remember the front cover of each book in the series featured the same boy each time. One half of his body would feature different clothing to the other. For example I remember a cover where he was floating as if held in midair. One half of his body was bleeding and he was holding a stick of dynamite or something in his hand on this side.
-The front covers were always completely white, apart from the illustration of the boy in the centre
-The books I believe involved time travelling, with characters going back to World War Two and ancient Scotland. Or it may just have been flashbacks/going back in time to the main characters family of past that had always been linked with the protaganists/the sought after item
-The Norse God Odin (I think) and his group were the main protagonists
-In the modern sections Odin's group used advanced weaponry
-One main item/feature of the series involved people living or finding something in a cave under the ice, I think one of the characters turned evil here
-The first book I think began in a school where there was a fight or fire
-Scottish mythology also featured, the story often travelled back to a stone house/cave in Scotland.
-At one point they were at the battle of El Alamein and Odin was there
-There were some medieval sections in Scotland/plot points on the west islands of Scotland
-Odin was eventually defeated with the plots from all time periods interlinking and culminating in some final scene.

If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated. I have searched for years, I can no longer find it at my local library. All books involving Odin I have viewed are not the correct series.

Where were the "modern" parts set--U.S. or Scotland or England or Ireland or Wales or some other point in Europe where Odin was worshiped?

While I don't recognize your series, it will definitely be going onto my TBR mountain range when it's found.

I was almost sure that was the book for a second, but sadly it is not.

Thanks for the help so far guys! I shall continue the search in the meantime.

Another guess - The Woven Path by Robin Jarvis? There are multiple cover images. The Woven Path (Tales from the Wyrd Museum, Book 1) by Robin Jarvis
Series link - https://www.goodreads.com/series/8037...

Quickly scanning, I see reviewers mention time travel, WW1-2, the Blitz, Norse mythology.

This is the first one in the series - I've only read the second so I don't know if all the details match up. The Norse Gods are definitely there, and I think there was some sort of incident at a school.

Greg | 3 comments I'm sorry to report that neither of those were of the series I am searching for. I thought I was on to something with an illustrator who drew in a similar style to the front cover I remember, but sadly it was not to be. Nevertheless, I shall continue my search!

No response, moving to Abandoned folder.
