Okay, voting has ended and you all decided that Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver by Lauren Oliver will be March's Book of the Month read, falling under the category of Books to Movies.
This is a book that I've wanted to read for a very long time but never got around to it. If you too haven't had the chance to read it, please grab a copy and let's get reading and discussing this book as of 1st March. I prefer reading the books first before watching the movie.

Happy Reading!

This is now definitely our chance :)

Shera (Book Whispers) (sherabookwhispers) | 152 comments Yep! Before the movie comes out as well.

Oh, absolutely!

Farren (mmmcookies) I read this book about a month ago, after previously deciding not to read anymore Lauren Oliver books and then changing my mind when I got Replica for Christmas. It was by far my favorite book by her and I'm glad that I read it. I listened to the audiobook which was highly recommended, because I guess the narrator is some actress from Grey's Anatomy who narrates all of her books. I personally did not like her, but I can see why so many people love the audio version. I'm definitely looking forward to the movie. I also can't wait to dive into Replica, too.

That's really great to know. I've only read one other Lauren Oliver book, Delirium, and it was an okay read for me and I didn't continue on with the series. At least this one seems a lot more promising.

Fantastic. :D the more the merrier. I think it's going to be a great read ... well I hope so.

Farren (mmmcookies) Same with me, Sylvia. I think I generously rated Delirium three stars, and decided to just quit the series. I had high hopes for Vanishing Girls and ended up not liking it and giving it two stars. Oliver's writing is very pretty though.

That's what I also rated Delirium, three stars.

Most people seemed to love it so don't base your reading it on me. I just felt like it was way to much "Groundhog Day" and I got really bored with her waking up to the same day 15 (an exaggeration) times. I'm not sure how she could have made it better or if I would have even liked it if she did. I didn't like Groundhog Day at all.

Yeah, sounds like it would bore me too but I will give it a go and see how it fair's with me. You just never know.

Ooh, that would be great hun...the more the merrier. Besides, it's not a big book.

Mollie Murphy | 1 comments I just finished this book yesterday! Wow. I'm so happy I was able to get it done before the movie.

This was such a quick read for me, I just couldn't seem to put it down. The ending had me tearing up but it was perfect. Hope you all enjoy as much as I did!

Bioquímica da Leitura | 5 comments Hello, I wanted to read this book before the movie comes out, and to be honest I really didn't even see any trailer before reading.
I read earlier this year Delirium, and liked it so I was curious about other work from this author. So here I was grabbing the book on the shelf and "diving into it".
I really liked this book but I must say, it was a bit of a difficult read at times because I lost 3 family members about a year ago.
I got that feeling and maybe some of you got as well, initially you don't quite get it but the more you read, the more you get that it is a deep book, and it also has a message. Value and treasure each moment, specially those with your loved ones. We never know when it will be our time to go.

Okay, I started this last night and just finished it now. I'm sorry, I must be in the minority here and did not connect to the characters or the story. I'm felt nothing but bored and wanted of it to be over.

Heather (cagalli1543) This is a pretty good book. Read it when it was first released.

I was planning to go Monday, but I've been worried it wasn't going to be that good. The trailer I saw last week made it look like she was walking around telling everyone she was dead lol

Even though the book didn't "wow" me I am still going to watch the movie, though I'll wait till it comes out on DVD lol

The movie cuts through the repetitiveness of the recycled days, so each one feels fresh. That might help. =)

LOL. I must have missed that trailer, but thankfully it's not in the movie. By the way - the casting is great; especially the girl who plays "Sam". It's also shot in the Pacific Northwest, so cloudy skies really give it a cool moody feel.

Well, that's a good thing then...I'll still wait for it to come out on DVD or even Pay TV movie.

Kirby Patrick | 5 comments I read this book in high school some years ago and I didn't like it. I might reread it though because I only read it in school to get points for it.

My taste has changed since HS. Then I would only read or should I say enjoy romances but now I will read about anything and enjoy it.

You didn't like it and still rated it 4 stars? I wish I was as kind and generous as you lol

Jenny (juliababyjen) | 1075 comments So I finally finished this the other day...I ended up really liking it, which was surprising. I wasn't expecting to, from everyone else's feed back. But I was into it right away. I kind of hated the MC most of the time, but I still felt sorry for her, too.

I really fell in love with Kent (swoon!) I would love a spin off book just on him. Easily the best thing about the book.

I also thought the "mean girl" dynamic between Sam and her 3 friends really interesting. These were not cookie cut out characters, but well fleshed out characters, and I really got into their "drama."

I was (view spoiler)

Overall, a really good read, I read it really fast.

So glad you enjoyed it Jenny. Seems like on of those you either hate or love. I just couldn't get past the coming back over and over to really get into the story.

Sylvia | 13086 comments Mod
I'm glad you enjoyed this too, Jenny. I'm with Tracy on this book. Couldn't get into it and couldn't relate.
