Hard SF discussion

I wanted to ask early for some suggestions for the April book. I am offering two suggestions below that I do not think the group has read before. Once I get a couple more I will open a poll (after I figure out how).

How do you envision this BotM thing working, seeing that most of the activity seems to be on Facebook now? Are there people interested in discussing a book here or are you coordinating with the people on Facebook?
I've managed to avoid reading House of Suns until now so in any case I'd be good for that. And I encourage people who can stand books featuring diagrams to try The Clockwork Rocket.
I'd be more willing to take a chance with authors I don't already trust when it comes to shorter works than a whole book. Reading shorter stuff might also allow us to do something different than what's already going on over at Facebook such as comparing several stories about the same topic by different authors in order to discuss ideas rather than books (as someone suggested in the other thread).

Polls are easy to setup but I'm not sure a poll about which book to read would be useful at this point.
Something else you might want to do at some point is to broadcast a message to all group members.
