Here is a spreadsheet I created to track BTBA data.

You can sort it by date, by title, by author, by language, and by translator. It is interesting to track the trends!

There are definitely going to be errors in this as it was hastily created. If you spot some, please point them out so I can fix the spreadsheet!

Please post any interesting trends you see!

For example, some things I posted yesterday: the very tiny number of Italian books that have made the list! Only four, three of which were part of Ferrante's run with her My Brilliant Friend quartet (the last three made the longlist).

Lascosas | 504 comments Thanks for putting this together. One trend I've noticed is the number of small publishers on the list has increased over the years.

I'm curious why you used the shortlist instead of the longlist for 2007. I know that it is simply a sub-set of the 50 books from which the shortlist was selected, but isn't it a longlist? I ask because after I finish reading the 2017 longlist I'm thinking of going back to the 5 longlists I haven't read (2007-2011), and was wondering what to do with 2007.
