Judi | 6 comments I'm trying to remember a fantasy book series I read in high school, but I don't really remember much about, just that I really liked it. I think I remember there being 3 or 4 protagonists, each the center of one (or more) of the books. I think 2 were guys & 2 were girls & the girls were sisters or step sisters. I know it was a series, not a trilogy, but I don't remember how many books total. Maybe they were from our world but somehow were transported to a fantasy world? Maybe there was a little bit of romance strung in but it was mostly fantasy? I know I'm not giving you much here, but I'm hoping it's enough for something...

thanks for trying, but that wasn't it. I don't remember the protagonists being related (other than the girls being sisters or step sisters) I think they might've been classmates or school mates, or went to the same school but were from different cliques?

Judi, I moved your request to the Unsolved folder because you're looking for a specific book.

What year did read this book series?

Please add plot details (and genre) to your Topic header. This will help people searching for books. To do this, click edit beside the header if you're on the desktop (not mobile) version of the website. Just ask if you'd like some help.

Judi | 6 comments Hi Kris,
I don't remember what year exactly I read the series, but it was definitely between 2000 - 2003.
I don't remember much more about the book than what I wrote already (I'm sorry), but I will take your advice & put the genre in the topic header.
Thank you,
Judi

Justin | 49 comments here is a long shot, but did it happen to be the Circle of magic series by tamora pierce? there are 4 main characters and each book is told by one of them,?

message 7: by Judi (new)

Judi | 6 comments Thanks Justin,
Although it sounds like an interesting series I might read, I don't think Circle of Magic is the one to which I was referring. I remember the characters in the series I'm talking about to start out as "normal" young adults, NOT in the fantasy world. They end up there, I don't remember how, but they don't start there.

message 8: by Justin (new)

Justin | 49 comments was it a young adult or adult book?

Adele | 1425 comments This is just a wild guess - could it be the Guardians of the Flame series by Joel Rosenberg? First book is The Sleeping Dragon

message 10: by Judi (new)

Judi | 6 comments Justin, I think it was considered young adult. I took it out of the library, way back when, & I'm pretty sure that's the section from which I took it.
Adele, thank you for your response. While the Guardians of the Flame series sounds like a good one, the characters in the book to which I am referring were not playing a game, so that's not it.

Eric, please note members create a separate thread/topic for each book request. Otherwise, it gets too confusing.

(However, I happened to check Imdb, and you might be looking for Roommates: My Grandfather's Story by Max Apple.

Nora | 122 comments Not sure if you’re still looking, but could it be the Fionavar Tapestry series, starting with The Summer Tree?

Checking Listopia for portal fantasy might also help you track it down.
