Monroe, would you like to give an opening for your character Aura Harley from where my character Danik is at Starfall? I thought you could be the decoy for Lady Sybil if you wanted. Ok, where my character Alana and Iss'atho are, is that Alana is about to ask a faceless man to assassinate someone. Now I had an idea that rather than just me to decide, I could put it up to a joint decision. The assassination/attempted assassination could be used as a trigger to other shattering events like John Aryn’s or King Robert’s deaths in Game of Thrones.So here are a few of my suggestions, if anyone has any of their own then they could be considered as well:
Robb Stark, King of the North
Tywin Lannister, Hand of the King and Lord of Casterly Rock Warden of the Westerlands.
King Joffery Baratheon, King of the Seven Kingdoms
Prince Tommen Baratheon
Rory Welcus, Husband of Amelia Targayern, Lord Consort of Dragonstone
If anyone wants my motives for why Highgarden would want these killed just let me know, and if you have any better suggestions to increase the tension, just post them.
And if you think this is just a stupid idea then tell me and I’ll just think of something.
Not that I dispute it, can I have the motives? I'm just really curious.
Alright my motives are:Robb Stark, to cause confusion and collapse of the North, to watch as they accuse the Lannisters and launch a massive attack and/or allow on opportunity for the Lannisters to attack a leaderless North, leaving openings for Tyrell and Martell forces in the south. If Robb’s basterd (Jack Robbie Snow) is announced it could start a struggle for Winterfell between Bran and him. This could bring in other houses against each other in the north and new alliances with those in the south.
Tywin Lannister, the biggest threat to the Tyrell’s plan. Removing the most capable and feared lord of Westeros, with many lords backing the crown for him instead of Joffery’s and Cersi’s claims. With Tywin gone, support for Joffery may dwindle.
King Joffery, as king, a much loathed one, killing him maybe seen as a blessing for many, and may push less loyal forces to the crown to shift alliances.
Prince Tommen, probably killed alongside Joffery. Without these two, there is no male heir, which may push a Mycella claim with the Martells who have female succession, or open up for other claimants (like Avalon Adele Lannister, Robert’s daughter).
Rory Welcus, likewise this could cast suspicion onto the Lannisters, and get the Targaryens to fight against them, and opens up the chance of a marriage alliance between Amelia and one of the other houses.
I’m also going to add Stannis as a possibility. There are two of his daughters in the character lists here, Sybil and Delilah Fera Baratheon. Killing Stannis could open the chance of one of these or both claiming the throne (civil war between the Baratheons?). With Stannis assassinated, this would destroy the Baratheon claim and remove his army from the war of the kingdoms. If the plan by the Tyrells is to kill Stannis, plan for his daughter to be at Starfall, orchestrate a Lannister attack on her there to make the Lannisters look guilty, and perhaps get Sybil to become heir to Storms End, and join with the Martells and Tyrells. Also Robert’s daughter, Avalon Adele Lannister, could also be seen as heir both to Storm’s End and the Iron Throne, so Stannis’ death could also throw her into the battle.
Martells and Tyrells hate each other, though. Right?
The Martells and the Tyrells were both Targaryen loyalists during Robert’s rebellion, and I thought they could be allied in more of a ‘my enemy is your enemy’ kind of way. Also neither could topple any of the major Houses of Westeros by themselves.
I guess. It would be a most uneasy alliance, though.
Hey I just joined I have never roleplayed before I hope that's ok. What do we do? I am looking to try it out though I love game of thrones, both the books and the tv show
No ones posted anything on here for ages. You could try writing something and see if anyone replies.
Is this group alive? I'm looking to join more fantasy groups to help improve my own medieval fantasy group and practice my writing, do people still roleplay here? It seems a little quiet...
