Really great read! I liked that the protagonist had her own independence and strength that has, unfortunately, been lacking with some of the other YA characters I've been reading. The book reminded me a little bit of Hunger Games, which made it that much more interesting :D

Yes, I agree! :D Though, I haven't found time to read the second book, though I've read most of the short stories.

I've read the second book but none of the short stories, are they worth it?

Well, I like some of them, though others were just boring.

When does the BOTM end again?

BOTM stands for Book of the Month, so it starts at the beginning of the month, and ends at the end of each month. So this book is the June BOTM, and we'll have another in July

Enjoying it so far, guys? :D We should do this as a group series read a long. The second one is so much better than the first one and the third book is coming out this fall :D If we DO do it as a group read a long, we can read the Assassin's Blade during the wait until October(?)

Yes, we should do that! Though, if we do, should we do the short stories too? I haven't read the second book yet... Is it really better than the first?
