My name is Caitlin.
My favorite things to read are usually stories with a narrative that focuses on women, women's issues, and feminism.
What I love most about libraries is the community of learning, information, and freedom that it fosters.

What do you love most about your public library: I love getting to meet so many interesting & wonderful people working at the library. It's always fun getting to know our patrons. Also, the animals in the children's department. & books!

Lately I've been chewing on essay collections. While I like to deep dive into a story, it seems that the shorter length and the super-thought provoking nature of essays is a good fit for me these days.
What I love most about the public library is often I run across a book I never heard of. That seems to happen way more often in libraries than book stores.

Hi! My name is Laronica and my favorite genre would probably be a mix of legal thrillers/private detective/police type mysteries. After that I'd say historical reads...anything about southern black families and their migration to the north (and west) and anything about the Harlem Renaissance. I LOVE the library because there is a wealth of knowledge of all subjects at your fingertips. Libraries are accessible to all and you always feel welcomed. And I LOVE the Friends' bookstores at all locations, but especially Homewood!! :-)
