In his attempt to clear Solomon, Cork implies that Fletcher Kane had an incestuous relationship with his daughter, Charlotte, prior to substantiating that claim. He also exposed Arne's affair with her. Does he bear any responsibility for ruining their reputations? Should he have approached this differently?

Angela | 155 comments I think he does to a degree. He should have had evidence before making such a claim.

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 694 comments I think he bears some responsibility. Arne's affair should have come out because Maria/Charlotte was underage so Cork's handling of that didn't bother me. His fixation on Kane did bother me because it's not like Cork to get so tunnel visioned. He shared information before he had to and before he had all the facts. I was disappointed in Cork.

I thought Cork was way out of line with Kane. It's one thing to have suspicions and you pursue the angle until it dies. But to cast those suspicions so publicly without proof was irresponsible.

Now, Arne was a different story. He had an affair with the victim and was in no way objective in investigating her death.

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 694 comments I was surprised that no one was more disgusted by the fact that a 40 something man was having sex with a 17 year old, an affair that may have even started when she 16 because Arne referenced it starting "last summer". Unless Minnesota has a different age of consent.

I know! I was waiting for the outrage but so many couldn't cast the first stone because of their own transgressions:)

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 694 comments I suppose that must be it because otherwise I kept thinking "what is wrong with these people?!" lol
