This is a basic breakfast/lunch/dining area. There's a lunch lady who is usually rude and gives you only the stuff you don't want on your tray, which is still pretty fabulous. And about two dozen assorted tables and chairs bolted to the floor.

Benny Boot (bennyboot) | 430 comments Waylon was sitting in the crowded cafeteria, chit-chating with his special friend that was called Hob, a small blonde girl who teased him a lot. He was munching on his food and looked around, noticing all the peolpe much larger than him, it was cool to watch all the fun they were having, even if none of them were having fun. Walyon just made up stories on what they were doing, one person was talking about baking cookies and the really angry man was arguing that they should make brownies instead. It made him giggle. Close by to Waylon, watching was the other special friend of his that had a mind of it's own. It was dressed in a guards uniform and Waylon called it Mr. Po.

Lyylyen entered the noisy cafeteria, wincing from the noise and moved closer to the guard's side. She came in with a female guard who looked quite good at her job but also too nice for a place like this. Lyly, whose eyes were still closed and her clothes dishevelled. She just woke up a bit ago and only had about two or three hours of sleep.
She was led to the line by the guard whose hand she was holding and got some food. She didn't take too much, just some juice and a plate of eggs, bacon and hashbrowns. The guard held the plate and led Lyly away from the crowded line and glanced around for somewhere for them to sit.

"Not a lot of people," Lyly requested, eyes still closed and her words slurred. She wanted to sit somewhere that her brothers could end up joining them when they finally got here. She was very sad that Shem wouldn't be cooking for her. He makes good food but the cafeteria wasn't too bad either.
The guard, spotting Waylon, headed that way and placed Lyly's plate down across from him, murmuring to the small blond child to sit down before moving to the edge of the room.
Lyly obediently sat down, rubbing her eyes and yawned before finally opening them. As soon as they opened, they landed on Waylon and stayed like that unblinking for some time.
Lyly was a frightening child. She had intelligence behind her light brown eyes that most adults didn't even have. It didn't help she often shared the same expression as her older brother.
The small girl just sat there, watching Waylon, waiting to see if he would speak first.

Benny Boot (bennyboot) | 430 comments As Waylon noticed some new peolpe sitting with him, Hob disappeared, leaving Mr. Po to watch the two children at the table to themselves. "Hello." Waylon said quietly, picking at his own food, which had gone cold from how long he talked to his friend. He didn't like talking to peolpe and was considering making another visitor come to talk for him, someone who he could hide behind. He didn't realize that there were even other little kids in the prison like him, so he was surprised to say the least. "Are you prisoner?" Maybe she was a kid of a guard or maybe a guard herself, he had zero idea.

Lyly didn't immediately respond, she didn't even blink when he spoke. Her gaze on him but it was rather, unfocused....
She finally blinked when he asked her a question, causing her to tilt her head to the side, eyes lowering to be half-lidded. They almost looked swollen but it was just the lighting and the bags under her eyes from lack of sleep. A new place with a lot of people meant near to no sleep for her.
"Prisoner, like you," she stated, her voice soft but unusually firm, almost sharp. She didn't really like people and never got along with anyone around her age. Kids seemed to be so stupid and she'd rather just hang out with her brothers. She took a sip of her drink and swallowed before she spoke again.
"You should get new food... it's cold," she murmured, nodding at the plate before peeking at him. She wasn't good at interacting with other people, especially those around her age. She didn't understand them nor did they understand her. However, she knew that cold food wasn't always good tasting food.

message 6: by Benny Boot (new)

Benny Boot (bennyboot) | 430 comments "Good, good." He nodded and took a scoop of the eggs he got himself and winced a little. "They are cold, but I don't want to talk to the mean cook." He shrugged a little and began to watch her too. He realized that she just woke up and waited a bit before speaking again, munching on the cold sausage. "I am Waylon." He smiled a little, trying at least to be friendly. It wasn't everyday he tried to talk to other peolpe let alone someone his age, so he tried to think before he spoke everytime, not wanting to screw anything up.

Lyly flicked her gaze over towards where the food was located and furrowed her sleepy brows in thought. She could always steal some for him but she couldn't pull it off alone. She was too short. She turned back to him when he introduced himself, yawning a bit before she spoke again. "Lyylyen," she replied, rubbing her eyes before taking another sip of her juice. "You can have some of mine?" she offered, cringing at the fact he was eating the cold food. It couldn't be pleasant to chew.
She really only offered because she knew Shem would be cooking for her later and she wanted to have enough room her belly to stuff herself. It had been too long since she had some of his cooking.
Lyly pushed her plate in the centre of the table for Waylon to reach but to also keep her distance. She wanted to avoid touching him. Thankfully, due to her sleep-deprived state, her abilities were a bit shaky, allowing her the chance to be this close to someone without seeing how they die.

Benny Boot (bennyboot) | 430 comments "You can have it. It will be okay. Food is good cold." It wasn't good cold but he knew peolpe needed to eat to live so he wouldn't take her food. A pop sound could be heard and in a blink the small blonde haired girl appeared once more, sitting next to Lyylyen and she giggled. "Ooooo, look at her, Waylon. She's soo pretty." The visitor giggled and went up to touch her cheek, it wouldn't feel normal, it was almost too warm to feel like a normal hand. Waylon's face had turn cherry red at this point and tried to talk. "H-h-h-h-Hob leave her alone." The girl stuck her tounge out than mocked his stutter. "Ma-mah-mah-make me."

((okay brilliant))

Lyly basically rolled her eyes, having way too much attitude for a six-year-old. She got up to lean over the table to grab his food and moved it so he couldn't reach it. "Now you have to," she stated and plopped back on her bum to snack on her food but arranged the plate to leave half of the food for him.
Lyly's eyes then closed again, too tired to keep them open. Thus, when she heard the pop, she didn't react until something was touching her cheek. Lyly tensed immediately, scared but relaxed when she didn't really see anything. She opened her eyes to peek at Hob beside her then at Waylon and back again. "I'm fine," she said, honestly for once. She wasn't a touchy person if they weren't her brothers but that was because she didn't like people. She didn't like them mainly because she didn't want to know stuff about their future.
"It's also rude to mock someone like that," Lyly bluntly told Hob. Bullies and bullying was something Lyly didn't tolerate. Not when her brother was bullied. If she was stronger and not so weak, she would pay them back for doing that to her brother. She could tell her oldest brother- but he'd probably blackmail them into giving them their organs. It wouldn't be pretty.

message 12: by Benny Boot (new)

Benny Boot (bennyboot) | 430 comments "It's not rude when he is embarrassed. And he is veeerry embarrassed, he doesn't like it when I am out because I get to be 'rude' to him." She did little finger quotes at the word rude and giggled some more, watching Waylon's face turn even more red. "I guess I have to eat your food now." He took a slice of bacon and munch on it, trying to hid his face a little bit in his large uniform. "Please go away Hob." He tried to say but his stuttering got even worse and Hob was trying her hardest to stifle more laughter. "No, I wanna stay out for longer, you let Mr. Po stay out all the time."

ӍдѕҞa (whichsidewillyouchoose) | 1961 comments Mod
"It's especially rude then," Lyly replied, unfazed by the oddity that was, in fact, the existence of Hob. For a little girl that has seen more death than homicide detectives, this seemed to be the least of her worries. Technically, she was seeing 'ghosts' every day so something as puzzling and spirit like as Hob was just, something to get used to.
Lyly nodded, finishing the rest of her juice off before she ate some more of her half. She glanced around, wondering when her brothers would arrive. They were taking quite a long time. Unusual since her oldest brother could manoeuvre through these halls without an issue.
She then looked back at Waylon, brows furrowed for a moment before she gave in to some curiosity. "Why are you here?"

message 14: by Benny Boot (new)

Benny Boot (bennyboot) | 430 comments Waylon looked at her and frowned, the guard dressed slightly diffrent walked over, Hob disappearing now in another pop and the one that arrived spoke in a calming and kind voice. "Waylon had created his first shade at a young age and couldn't control it, something the government never wants to happen again, so he was sent here to get some control over it and to be taken care of, as he killed the entire orphanage he was raised in." Than just like that he walked back to his spot next to the boy watching. "Like Mr. Po said." He almost whispered. She seemed very diffrent than normal kids and he didn't want to say it wrong and her be mad at him.

Lyly glanced over at the officer, noticing that their uniform was different from the guards that worked at this prison. Her brows furrowed in thought for a moment before she processed what the man said and turned her attention back to Waylon. She acknowledged the fact the little girl had disappeared and had a feeling Waylon would be someone her brother would be curious about. His fascination with superhuman abilities was the verge of obsessive. It would have been innocent if not for the fact he often opened people up and could dissect organs with ease.
"I see, so you just need to learn how to control it and then there isn't any point for you to be here?" Lyly stated and nodded. Even without touching him, she suspected she knew how this little boy may die in the future. She had no desire to actually see it however so she brushed the thought away as soon as it came.
"Can the people here teach you?" A valuable question, especially for someone like Lyly. She had some control over her ability but not enough to make it stop for any desired length of time.

Benny Boot (bennyboot) | 430 comments "I dunno, I guess so. I think the gov-gov.." He stopped for a moment nd remembered the word. "The government doesn't like peolpe with powers, so they put me in here so that they can take my powers away." He looked back up, talking loud enough to be heard but it was still more like a whisper. "I think they can, they all have powers so maybe they can teach me how to not make anymore shades. They are the bad ones, not like Hob or Mr. Po. They are visitors, they're nice to me." He smiled a little and finished off his half of the plate you gave him.

Lyly couldn't disagree. People with powers were dangerous and could ruin everything everyone has built up. They felt threatened by people they can't control. "Can they?" she mused, wondering if that was possible or permanent. It was interesting, something her brother would definitely be curious about. She'd have to bring it up to him.
Lyly hummed as she munched on some bacon, pondering that point. She didn't fully understand what he was saying about his ability and creating beings but she understood enough. "Where it is good, there is always evil," she stated. The fact that she was six years old would be something to wonder about. She acted and sounded far past her years. "What happens to the good if the evil is extinguished?"

((would you be okay if Lyly's brothers and Akane make an arrival? If not, I'll juggle until Lyly's done here ^^))

Lyly hummed as she swallowed then shook her head. "If one bad guy is gone what happens?" she asked, glancing at him, "another one who is more bad takes its place. If there is no evil... then something worse is bound to happen," she decided with a nod. What that may be, she wasn't sure. It could just be death as a whole. "That's why the police are still catching bad people even though they've caught so many."
Lyly looked at him, tilting her head a bit to the side. She was called creepy before, even a psycho so odd wasn't farfetched. However, it seemed it was a compliment, something the little girl hadn't been expecting. Suddenly, her eyes closed and her face lit up with a beaming smile. "Thank you," she said, revealing some of her childishness that she still had. "I don't tend to like people... but.. you seem to be fine," she said. It was the best compliment anyone besides her brothers could receive from her, especially in such a short amount of time.

She was dressed in the prison jump suit and was well..a bombshell. This would be one of the more interesting characters inside Building 13 that Waylon stared at one or twice. ¨Whoa...you are a new person.¨ He looked back to Lyylyen, wanting to respond to the evil part but he was just a little distracted. Lyly's smile soon slipped off her face, getting too tired to keep it in place. She finished off the rest of her meal just when the weird noise came and closed her eyes. She only reopened them when they spoke. Her brows furrowed for a moment before she glanced at the woman who appeared. The impassive expression on her face was clear in her uninterest towards the newcomer. She could accept Waylon, he seemed like a good kid though naive older people, especially women nudged her the wrong way. They had higher chances of stealing her brothers away. Temptresses.
She looked away and frowned in confusion. Doesn't he know who his visitors are?

While his mind became lost in thought and he looked like he was spacing out, Doll stared at the girl. ´Child, what is this place? Lyly only looked back at the woman when she addressed her. Her eyes narrowed and her expression cold and impassive, an expression that nearly perfectly mimicked her oldest brother's casual facial posture. "A top-notch prison," she retorted sharply, stressing the top-notch but despite knowing if they wanted to, she and her brothers could get out.
((weeeellll if that's the case, how do you want Waylon to die? ^^ ))

Lyly got up, deciding she'd rather go meet up with her cellmates instead of sticking around. She'd have to visit Waylon some other time. However, just as she stood on the ground, she froze, gaze blank but slowly turned her head back to look out at the crowd of people eating. It looked relatively calm for building 13 in the morning, everyone sitting and eating, nothing amiss. However, Lyly spoke a monotone statement that had grown men shuddering. "People are going to die."

((mhmmm))

Lyly flinched when he touched her, blinking rapidly for a moment before she glanced at him. "They will," she stated as she shrugged off his arm only to grasp his hand. She then began dragging him through the maze of people and tables, heading for the far wall closest to the doors. She actively avoided touching anyone else as she headed directly towards the wall without any real explanation. However, half-way there, a screech of a chair echoed through the room and the sound of a fist colliding with someone's face. Lyly snapped her attention back to see the beginnings of a fight that would only escalate. "You make beings.... " she said, glancing at Waylon, "and I see the future."
She then whipped back towards the direction she'd been heading in, taking him along with her but they travelled more slowly as everyone got up and began to fight all around them. That mixed with the guards trying to calm everyone down and stop the conflicts created a place of complete chaos.
Someone eventually backed into them, having been knocked back from an especially strong kick. The collision caused Lyly's weak grasp on Waylon to break and before she could right it, the distance grew by the people running in between them.
Lyly's eyes widened in fear. If he, a kid, was caught up in this, bad things could only happen. She saw horrible things. If only her brother was here. At this moment, she knew she needed to figure out where he will be and meet him there.

Good thing, because the guards pushed the three prisoners, Shem, Lyem, and Akane, right into the room. They all stood there, blinking at the uncontrolled chaos, but Akane was the first to act. She saw Lyly, wide eyed, staring in fear at the people fighting around her. Akane only saw a glimpse, but she kicked in her speed, zooming forward, and clutching the child securely in her arms, pulling her back towards the entrance with the other two, moving so fast so as to avoid any blows. She deposited the child by the guards, hoping they'd have the sense enough to keep the little girl safe. "Are you alright?" she asked, very unaware that the girl had a friend who was getting caught up in the fight as well.

Lyem had no clue either. He clasped Lyly in his arms. "That is the last time we are letting a guard take you away from us ever, ever again!" he insisted, squeezing her firmly before releasing her. "You're not hurt?"

The chaos was spreading, and a tin cup smashed against the wall, nearly clipping one of the guards, who cursed.

((no worries))

Lyly screeched when Akane grabbed her, squeezing her eyes closed and took a moment to regain her balance before she froze. She opened her eyes wide, looking around for Waylon, her thoughts getting jumbled to the point where seeing the bright future was impossible. Things were so chaotic that multiple futures kept popping up and immediately changing till it had the little girl feeling nauseous. She couldn't even acknowledge Lyem saying something and hugging her. She had to freeze those images out of her head to be able to see what was in front of her and as soon as she did, she pushed away from Lyem and went to Shem who stood by the door. His hands were in his pockets, posture relaxed and his expression unfazed at the chaos in front of him. It wasn't the first time seeing this nor will it be the last.
He glanced down at his baby sister when she stood in front of him, looking scared and determined. He raised a brow at her questioningly and then deadpan when she did finally speak.
"Help."

It was a clear demand, a plea but Lyly did not look to be willing for her brother to tell her no.
The uninterested and sadistic looking character that was her brother sighed and then smirked as his single red eye seemed to glow. "Fine."

He moved Lyly back to Lyem to look after before he casually stepped forward and began to work his magic. It was unusual, watching as people went out of their way to avoid him as he walked towards the centre of the room. He needed to close in the distance to the people in the back of the room for this to work properly. Once there, it was quite simple. Everyone but Lyem, Lyly and Akane found themselves somewhere else. They weren't in the cafeteria anymore, instead, it was a small, locked room with their hands and feet bound. The brain was a powerful thing, if it perceived to be tied up, then that is what they were. Thus, people began dropping like sacks of potatoes onto the floor. The sound didn't decrease, shouting and struggling but otherwise, they were immobilized. Eventually, it left Shem standing in the middle of the cafeteria, squirming bodies on the ground all around him. He stood, hands in his pockets, back arched and head knocked back looking down over at them. For once, he didn't just look like a weak creepy guy. He looked like the psychopath.

Lyly immediately darted through the crowd in search for Waylon, finding him rather easily. "Shemmy," she called, wanting him to stop his manipulation on Waylon while she crouched down in front of him waiting for him to regain his sense. Her vision could still come true,

message 33: by Benny Boot (new)

Benny Boot (bennyboot) | 430 comments The "room" Waylon was in was his solitary confinement cell from when he first came to the prison, where he was kept for a week and he created shades constantly, they had no one to attack but him. So his vision was full of nothing but dark, twisted faces and cold concrete walls. He started crying profusely and then like that, the vision dissipated. He looked up, seeing Lyly and Mr. Po, who had not been affected by the power and had hurried over to Waylon, wanting to make sure he would be okay. What did you do to them all? Po yelled at the psychopath in the middle of the room.

Akane didn't expect thanks, but it would have been nice. If that girl could tell the future, she must have been overwhelmed by the chaos. Was that a blur, something that could effect her accuracy? Too many individuals at once? She was being a bit too analytical. As the sadistic big brother sauntered into the middle of the room, she was shocked. People were dropping like flies. All of them, regardless of whomever they were. She thought in an instant that he probably had been tempted to do the same thing to her. She was an intruder, after all. Maybe she should be thanking him for not putting her in some weird captive illusion. Maybe she should stop thinking the absolute worst of him; it wasn't fair. "You really knocked them down with your shadow," she appraised, raising her eyebrows.

Lyem didn't get caught up in his brother's power. He was upset, of course, that Lyly went straight to Shem, but that wasn't his problem. Shem could deal with that better than he could. However, he kept his eyes on his sister, and followed her to her friend, helping her as he best could. He did not appreciate his brother being yelled at for stopping the fight, for helping. "Shut up," he growled at the traumatized little kid. "He just saved your butt." His sister had no taste in guys, he thought ruefully..

((Waylon didn't say it, Mr. Po did. Info in their profile https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... ))

Shem turned his gaze to Akane, his red eye still seeming to glow at this time which only complimented the unusual smile he had on his lips. It had been a while since he'd used his ability like this. Years even. He did it for little things not mass like this. He would probably be feeling it later, like a muscle that hasn't been used for a while. "Shadow is quite simplistic," he drawled, almost scolding. He couldn't expect much from her though. It was clear she never did understand what he could do. Thus, seeing all these bodies squirming on the ground, it was hard not to stop his twitching hand to do something about it. However, the fact that his siblings were here was enough to restrain the madman.

Shem turned his attention to Lyly, her new friend and an odd looking fellow that shouted at him. His expression dimmed into its unusual uncaring expression. "They're stuck in an illusion. In the mind's eye if you will," he drawled in a bored tone, moving closer to them, stepping over bodies to reach them. He looked down at Lyly who was shaken but wanting to ensure Waylon was okay. He crouched down and snapped his fingers to draw the boy's attention. He may not be certified but he had the knowledge of any professional doctor. He checked for signs of shock while Lyly held Waylon's hand.
"He should be fine," Shem rasped, standing up to glance around the room. He smirked at the state even the guards were in. However, there were some still bodies. Two reasons for it, unconscious or dead. He was quite tempted to check them out to 'borrow' organs from those who have died. It's not like they'd need them anymore.

Benny Boot (bennyboot) | 430 comments He looked up at the girl and now Mr. Po and a couple of other boys and pushed away, thinking he was still in the room for a moment. Then the realization came in and he took a deep, shaky breath. ¨W-wha, why did I, okay, I am in the lunch room, with Lyly, and Mr. Po, and new peolpe, there was a fight.¨ He sat up, attempting to stand but slightly dizzy from trying to quickly and just went with sitting. ¨I think I will be fine, who are the others standing up?" Mr. Po stood up a little and twitched and his body changed, in a fraction of a second he turned from a guard to a Mexican woman, wearing a white button up and a red skirt, she looked slightly wild and went over and sat next to the boy, her eyes worried. ¨No, no boy, don´t think about that. You musn´t.¨ She propped him on her lap and began to play with his hair. ¨Iḿ fine Miss E, Lyly and her friends stopped the fight.¨

Akane seemed pretty worried about the two kids, too, but they were way beyond her comprehension. They had weird shape-shifty pals, or mental concerns that she didn't totally understand. Even if she tried to help, she doubted anyone would notice, only that it would mostly get in the way. "Need any help?" she offered up anyways, ready to slink back and ask for food. Hopefully, they'd still be fed after this drama. She stuck her hands in her pockets and shuffled her feet, before noticing the still people. Horrified, she hurried to check their vitals. Had they fallen in a wrong way, hurt their spines or skull? Had a heart attack from reliving trauma?

Lyem rolled his eyes. "You really know how to pick 'em, huh, Lyly?" he checked, ruffling his kid sister's hair. "Hey, Shem? Are you okay?" He seldom saw this side of his big brother, the power, the danger. He left Lyly to comfort her friend and went to Shem. "You know, if you wake up the guards, they can take care of this lot, and you can get breakfast," he said, very tentatively. "You have to teach me how to cook. Maybe not now, but you have to stay out of detention for later," he reminded, grabbing his brother's hand and holding onto it tightly. Maybe this action of stopping the violence would reward them all with time off, he thought, or at least prison amenities. His brother just needed to handle this the right way.

Lyly finally calmed down once Waylon assured her that he was fine. She let out a heavy breath and plopped down with her head on her hands. It was pounding from the overload. Not only was she sleep deprived from her insomnia but she had a massive headache. She rubbed her templed and looked at Waylon and smiled brightly for the first time since she met the boy. It wasn't because of him but because of her love towards her brothers. She sat up, one hand still on her head but the other pointed at Shem, "that's my oldest brother Shem, my older brother Lyem beside him," she told him after Lyem had moved away from her. Her happiness depleted slightly when she turned to name the third member. "That one is Akane," she told the boy before turning her attention back to him to see that Mr. Po was gone and a woman had taken his place.
She was confused, pouting a bit because of it but then spoke, "Whatever you had saw, it was only an illusion," she murmured, "fake. Sorry you had to endure it."

Shem froze and moved his gaze to the corner of his eye to look at Lyem. They can't know the extent of his powers, it would give him the disadvantage in moving around this place. He'd have to knock everyone unconscious and let the guards think they were all knocked out during the chaos. How irritating. He clenched his jaw at the mention of teaching Lyem how to cook, releasing his fisted hand and patted his kid brother on the head. "I remember, let's deal with this," he muttered and moved away from his brother to address the issue at hand. It was easy to go around and knock the scattered inmates unconscious. He paused when he got around where Akane was, checking out some of the corpses. He paused for a moment but focused his uninterested attention on her. "They died during the fight," he muttered, somehow just knowing what she was thinking. He didn't have murder as a hobby. People who happened to die due to a circumstance that involved him was an entirely different story.

Benny Boot (bennyboot) | 430 comments Waylon looked back at Miss E and got flustered. ¨I am okay, go away please, I want to talk for myself.¨ Miss E nodded and went away, back into the boys mind and he landed on the ground with a thump. He stood up, a little dizzy but okay. He wiped the eggs off his shirt that got on during the fight. ¨It is alright, It was just an ill-il-shhh..¨ He tried to sputter out the word and just failed miserably. ¨Mind trick.¨ Waylon decided on that word before he walked over and saw all the peolpe on the ground. ¨Wow, your brother is like, really powerful.¨ He looked over at her, really curious how he beat down all the big guys since the both of them looked skinny and small. ¨So you can see all the stuff that happens before it even happens? So...you can see im gonna do this?¨ And he reached up and tried to pinch her arm, not in mean spirit, just for fun. Trying to force himself to be happy.

Akane heard the cold dismissal Lyly gave of "that one is Akane." Very thankful, yes indeed. Such a tender, young, loving child. She turned over one, who had a gashing wounds over his body, and a knife delved into his spine. "Yeah," she agreed, stepping hurriedly away. She hadn't ever really... been so close to death before. "They died in the fight." She almost felt bad for suspecting him initially, but there was something scary about Shem. She turned the body over again, so the kids wouldn't be able to see the corpse.

Lyem nodded, sufficiently sure that Shem had everything under control. He didn't think that Shem would want to hide what he had done; he didn't know that Shem hid how powerful he was. After all, if Shem revealed he'd done something like this for good, wouldn't they be rewarded? He was shortsighted in his assumptions. "Shouldn't I go and call the guards?" he suggested, shifting his coat off his shoulders, like he was willing to run and fetch them.

Lyly's entire body was tense, muscles flexed from her attempt to stop the throbbing inside her head. It was futile but it didn't stop the little girl from trying. Waylon grew her attention when he mentioned her brother and she grinned with a nod. "He is," she agreed. She saw him using it before for little tricks but never on this scale. Being able to corrupt the mind is something that was terrifying indeed, especially if you mastered your ability and knew as much as he did about the human body. "My other brother is really powerful too," she said, excited to brag about her siblings. "Not the same way but he can do anything he wants to," she stated.
Her excitement died a bit when his curiosity turned to her ability. She never really regretted having it but sometimes, she wished that she could just turn it off. Before she could reply to his question, she was pinched and yelped. It didn't hurt overly but it was more in surprise. She rubbed where he pinched, pouting a bit while shaking her head, "no. I see some things, important things. Not everything. Like when the light turns on when you've been in the dark a while," she said, "too much it hurts," she explained. "When it hurts, I can't use it very well, like now," she added.

Shem hummed, a cold dull tone before he turned his attention to Lyem. "No, the guards here will be enough," he stated before continuing his round. He was able to release his hold on everyone's mind when he was assured the all the inmates had been knocked unconscious. All they had to do was wait for the guards to get their shit together and they can finally eat.
It took a few moments but soon the guards in the room were up and checking the inmates. One of them went to those still standing to question them but Shem quickly handled that situation. He explained it briefly and rather charmingly, as charming as the impassive bastard could get anyway. Once that was handled, the guards were busy arranging the inmates to be transferred to their cell, infirmary or the morgue, depending on their state.
At this time, Shem returned to where their sister was, looking down at the brat she was with. Shem was always an unsettling guy to look at. He looked like a normal weak-willed guy who could care less about the world... but it was his eyes that did it. Two different colours with a look that held indifference yet a cold, calculating feel to them. It was like he dissected anyone he looked at.

Benny Boot (bennyboot) | 430 comments "Oh, well. I am sorry for pinching you, I had hoped you would of catched my hand like a super cool superhero or something." Waylon was way into comic books and one of his little secrets is he would use his powers to reenact the comic books with really tiny visitors who would be the super heroes and villains. "So you can see important stuff, that is really cool. Well as long as you do not hurt too much, than it is okay, right?" He wanted to make sure this girl was okay, mostly because she had made sure she did.

Akane stared, as if unsure of what to do. She couldn't help the dead. She couldn't help the guards. And the people she was with didn't really see her as a person at all. She kicked at a bloody plastic knife. How had that been sharp enough to use as a weapon? Hopefully, this would lead to better security. Why had this fight even begun? Fools, the lot of them. She sat apart from Shem and his family, and that poor child. Would he be punished by Shem and Lyem for being Lyly's friend?

Lyem might not have liked the other kid all that much. He let himself get caught up in all that violence! Stupid kid. He didn't seem to realize that Lyly allowed herself to get caught up in it as well. He looked at Shem, reading that cold, piercing stare. "Yeah, Shem," he whispered, smiling as he dubbed his brother's thoughts. "That kid orchestrated this entire fight. He put your sister in danger. Stare at him until he falls over half-dead," he teased, voice dripping with sarcasm.

Lyly shook her head, "it fine," she murmured still rubbing it but eventually stopped. She giggled at the thought. She never really tried something like that. She had once avoided getting shot but she doubted it was the same thing. It had to be life-threatening for her to be that precise. "Thanks," she said with a grin. She liked being complimented, even if it was about her power. She nodded though nothing was that simple. It was confusing to her let alone impossible to explain to someone else.

Shem rolled his eyes at his brother's comments, interrupting his stare down at the kid. He glanced back at him, his expression deadpan. "Mature," he pointed out with a shake of his head before he looked back at the kid briefly then at Lyly. He was acutely aware of her concern about making sure he had been okay, making him think, if the boy hadn't been the results would have been bad. It has his interests piqued. Everyone had such unusual abilities here.
"Oh, Shem, this is Waylon, Waylon, this is Shem and Lyem," Lyly introduced, but glanced around when she noticed Akane wasn't hovering around. Sure, she already said their names but it was a tradition.
"What's your ability kid?" Shem bluntly asked, looking at Waylon. He doubted he needed to blackmail this guy into telling him shit... though he knew he had seen someone else here previously that seemed to have vanished. Important clues.

Benny Boot (bennyboot) | 430 comments "You are welcome." He gave here another grin before waving at her brother's, his smile wavering a little at the creepy man who had caused everyone to fall. "I..uh..make friends." He closed his eyes, trying to think of a simple one to make and a very clay figurine appeared next to the boy, kind of like the Pillsbury dough-boy but tall, skinny, and his face was a simple smiley face. "This is Splat. He is very strong, but he cant talk, say hello Splat." The creature looked up, his head leaning to the side and he waved with his nub of a hand. If he were to be touched he would feel like warm rubber. Splat, besides the actual guard Mr. Po, was the boys bodyguard and Waylon's first and favorite visitor. "See, he s a nice one, they are called visitors. The bad ones are called shades, and they just like to kill peolpe." He shrugged a little and stood one step closer to Lyly as he thought that Shem was a bit too creepy.
