Book Review:

Platoon Leader: A Memoir of Command in Combat by James R. McDonough

What I learned and appreciate is just how much Lt. McDonough cared and loved his men. You get that from the Jocko Pod cast but when you read the book the lesson comes through deeper. One of the last scenes in the book involves one of his best men and a helicopter rescue. This one grips you. This book will be read again.
