Lottie Berinson | 120 comments Are you writing a novel? Written one? Writing short stories? What do you want to write? What is the genre? Age group? Anything else?

message 2: by Lynne (new)

Lynne Stringer | 117 comments I'm an author and I write YA. I have a science-fiction romance trilogy and a contemporary drama.

message 3: by Adele (new)

Adele Jones | 6 comments I'm an Aussie author who writes young adult near-science fiction based in Brisbane, Queensland. I generally target a readership of ages 13+. I'm currently working on a speculative parallel modern/historical narrative, and also might have recently finished a draft spinoff of my YA trilogy ... Yes, it appears I'm having issues cutting those apron strings ... #loveyourcharacters

Lynne Stringer | 117 comments You know what, Adele? My latest story is set on Verindon! It's thousands of years in the past with different characters, but that world just won't leave me alone!

Lynne Stringer | 117 comments I've written a sci-fi trilogy called the Verindon trilogy and a contemporary drama called Once Confronted. You can find out more about them on my website, here: www.lynnestringer.com

LOL. I know the feeling, Lynne. Do you think you'll ever write a spin-off, prequel or such?

message 8: by Lynne (new)

Lynne Stringer | 117 comments Well, I wrote The Heir from Keridan's point of view before The Heir was even released. I'd love to see it published one day. Not sure it will happen, though, unless the Verindon trilogy was super-successful!

I make poems. Like really good ones, like this:

Roses are red.
Violets are blue.
I don't know what to put next,
Bacon.

Lynne Stringer | 117 comments That's my kind of poetry. ;-)

LOL. My siblings and I expended much effort on crafting such poetic gems. Such verse had some common themes, such as red-back spiders, pigs and an occasional goat. (Hmmm perhaps sacrilegious to admit, given I claim to write real poetry now ...) :)

Lottie Berinson | 120 comments Wow. Your writing sounds great. You are a very special poet...

LOL that was just random. Anyone can write poems like that.

message 14: by Grant (new)

Grant | 3 comments I like poems here's one I wrote:

The Sea Turtle
A Haiku

I see a turtle
A small baby sea turtle
In the ocean blue

He swims with the fish
Down in the beautiful sea
Deep in the corals

I see his mother
Swimming with him in the sea
Then they both see me!

message 15: by Rowan (new)

Rowan Wood | 4 comments I write books (even though I’m only 12) that people keep bugging me to get published. My most recent book is one called “WW2 secret”...

It’s about a girl, Beatriz, who is told by her Gran that her Great-Ganddad was kidnapped in WW2 but nobody believes Gran. The next day, Gran gets kidnapped along with Beatriz’s family! Beatriz meets a girl who is granddaughter to Jeffery who was her great-granddads best friend. They go on an adventure to save Beatriz’s great-granddad following clues. In the end, they realise the person they least expect kidnapped her great-granddad for a peculiar (but reasonable) reason.

Shall I publish it???

Gavin Abdollahi (gavthereader) | 47 comments I write lyrics from time to time, but I'm also working on an epic fantasy series. I started out writing a book with a BUNCH of characters, then realised I was biting off way too much too fast, so I've decided to work on separate books and introducing characters little by little with their own stories before going back to what I originally started (something like the MCU).
