academic plans for the fall and winter of 17/18
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━so this is basically just a list of notes for myself for the upcoming fall and winter semesters. i recently changed my major and have a lot to catch up on when it comes to planning, so i thought making this post would help with that :)

random ramblings;
so like... my creative writing professor read one of my poems in front of class the other day, which, to be honest, isn't anything special. When he likes someone's writing, he likes to talk about it so that we all know what he's looking for in a piece. With mine, though, he spent a really long time on it and complimented me on it a lot.
Long story short, after class he told me that he hopes I pursue a writing degree. And honestly? I've been debating doing it for a while, even before he said that: a writing major and a legal studies minor.
but idk if a writing degree is actually financial suicide. it's literally the thing i'm best at, though, and what i love the most.
ah.

i'm thinking i will. just wondering, what're you majoring in? all my friends are STEM majors so like... idk xD

you could be a legalist or sth with your legal studies minor

you could be a legalist or sth with your legal studies minor"
true true
you know,
imma do it

random ramblings;
you know,
it's crazy how many opportunities pop up when you do something you love.
like, this past month, my professor got me a job at my school's writing center (I didn't even ask; he just gave it to me lol), and I just landed a freelance editing job.
like, when i was in computer science, this sort of thing never happened to me. all my friends were landing opportunities, but i wasn't. now i'm finding jobs and getting good grades, and i just feel like i've found where i'm supposed to be, you know?
TL;DR: things are looking up ~

random ramblings:
so apparently i've been doing punctuation with quotes wrong???
when you use quotes and want to put a comma after it, it goes inside the quotes???
like: "'generally accessible,' is a term"
not
"'generally accessible', is a term"
apparently, the first way is the american way and the other is the british
and so i've been doing it the british way and my prof marked me down for it and i'm pretty salty because i like the british way better so bite me
like i actually hate putting them inside
it feels so wrong
like ugh
first world problems

random ramblings:
tmw i dye my hair “dark golden brown”
and it comes out BLACK.
oh my god.
it looks terrible lol
i’m actually dying rn.
i’m literally the palest person in the world
i’ve never met anyone paler than me
and i look so emo now
GOLDEN BROWN MY ASS
honestly, just end me.

lol, ik this is a big mood shift from my last post
and it's not even been a day
but sometimes i remember why i stopped rping.
sometimes it feels like if you're not popular, you're just non-existent.
idk i hope someone gets how i feel.

I completely agree with that to be honest

and, yesssss, hello ~
what's your favorite kpop group?

my faves rn are probably fromis_9, loona, blackpink, and (g)-idle. i'm a big girl group stan lol. i also really love pentagon and stray kids tho. stray kids are my life.
