Homer Public Library 2017 Lit Lineup discussion
Summertime reading

I started June with listening to both The Nix, by Nathan Hill, and Britt-Marie was Here by Fredrik Backman. For a breather, I read Hunter's Moon by Dana Stabenow. I am currently reading What We're Fighting for Now is Each Other by Wen Stephenson. This is a book on climate change, and I find it most distressing. I am also listening to Mischling by Affinity Konar. Folks in my book club tell me that there are moments of hope and grace. I am about half-way through and finding it most difficult. It gives me nightmares. I am looking forward to getting these books finished and looking for something more upbeat.

The Homer Public Library has been a hopping place lately and with all the busyness I haven't been posting here as much as I'd hoped to.
What are you reading? Any suggestions for great summer reads?
I'm currently listening to "A Gentleman in Moscow" and am enjoying it quite a lot. It's also an interesting take on the Russian Revolution. I've just started reading "Adventures in the Anthropocene" and it's too early for me to have an opinion one way or another. I admit though, that my Lit Lineup reading is on hold while I'm reading Sherman Alexie's new book.... favorite authors' new work always takes priority.
