What are your thoughts on this book, and Christie's other works?

Just picked this up!

I expected this book to be a more difficult one to read than it was. The writing was simple and kept me engaged from the start to the finish.

At the end of the main body I was there trying to figure out who the murder was. (view spoiler)[ It didn’t feel right that it was either of the last two alive and I was sure it must have been one of the first ones to die. I was thinking Mrs Roberts or the first one who died and thought maybe they had used the poison of a blowfish or something, but not enough to actually kill them. (hide spoiler)] By the end of the epilogue I was even more confused. Then when reading the final instalment of the book, it all came together and started to make sense. The murderer was not one that I had guessed.

There was a mix of characters in the book and each one seemed to have their distinct personalities. It was interesting to see how they felt about the (view spoiler)[ deaths they were accused of facilitating (hide spoiler)] and how we learnt more about each one as the novel progressed.

This is the first time that I’d read a murder mystery and I hope to read more in the future.
