Welcome to the forum for our July standalone read!

What are your thoughts on this book, and Christie's other works?

AmbWitch I expected this book to be a more difficult one to read than it was. The writing was simple and kept me engaged from the start to the finish.

At the end of the main body I was there trying to figure out who the murder was. (view spoiler) By the end of the epilogue I was even more confused. Then when reading the final instalment of the book, it all came together and started to make sense. The murderer was not one that I had guessed.

There was a mix of characters in the book and each one seemed to have their distinct personalities. It was interesting to see how they felt about the (view spoiler) and how we learnt more about each one as the novel progressed.

This is the first time that I’d read a murder mystery and I hope to read more in the future.
