message 7: by georgireads96 (new)

georgireads96 (niffler_reads) So I've managed to set books for 6/7 of the challenges I've chosen 🙈

1. Read a 2017 release - I've chosen Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor

2. Read a book that is the same colour or similar to your birthstone - I'm diamond so I've chosen The Glittering Court by Richelle Mead

4. Read a book with a title or author the same first letter of your name - my name is Georgi so I've chosen to read Gemina by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman

7. Read a book with a summer themed cover - I decided to choose The Girls Guide To Summer by Sarah Mlynowski

10. Read a book in 24 hours. - this was the one I wasn't entirely sure on which book to choose, so if I don't read any of the others within 24 hours I probably won't do this challenge.

11. Read a new to you author - I haven't ever read anything by Eileen Cook before so I'm excited to read With Malice!

And finally number 12. Book with water on the cover - Lorali by Laura Dockrill

message 25: by Nikki (new)

Nikki I finished my TBR yesterday, so a day before the readathon officially ends! I thought it was insanity to even try, but I've obviously had a lot of free time on my hands :D

So in total I finished 17 books (doubled two of the challenges up with the start and finish a series challenge), 5947 pages and I finished all 18 challenges! I'm really happy with what I accomplished (these weren't all the books I read in August, I'm also participating in The Reading Quest and I couldn't use all of the books for both).

I hope it went well (that is, how you planned) for everyone!

message 26: by Deborah (new)

Deborah Payne (debbiesreadingcorner) Today is the last day and I did real well this month. I finished all but two of the challenges. The two I didn't get done was #1 which is read a 2017 release and #3 which is read a diverse I got half way through my book. We need to do this again it was fun.
