Social outcast and eccentric tinkerer Naoto’s life is upended when an advanced female automation is literally dropped on top of him. But that’s not the only complication awaiting the youngster, as in a literal world of gears Naoto’s hobby might make him useful in dealing with unexpected disasters.

Clockwork Planet is one of our Aug/Sept group reads. Discuss here!

Lauren Evatt (peerlessscarred) | 6 comments So I just finished the first three volumes of Clockwork Planet and I am really enjoying this series so far! I like all the characters and how fun they are. My favorite may be Ryuzu just because she is so blunt. I am also very excited to see more of Anchor in volume four. The artwork is good and the character designs are very detailed and complex. One of the things I really love is that the plot is adventurous and fast. Best of all though is the concept that this whole world is made of machinery and that there are these various groups who keep the planet running but at the same time are fighting amongst each other. My favorite volumes so far is the second one. Can't wait to read more!
