Brody Lando | 2 comments Hello,

I just finished The Nest really enjoyed it. Looking for a another book like it or anything that is really good under 300 pages. I am just getting into reading so I am starting off small. I enjoy thrillers, mystery, bio, I do like heists/ action, etc.

Thank you!

Jim (jimmaclachlan) Brody, I see you're new. It's best to use the book link (add book/author) link when asking about a book. Just put in a word or two from the title, a comma, space, & then the author's last name. ( nest, sweeney ) Then you'll get a list to choose from & can click the 'add' button to point to the proper book. I found 3 "The Nest" plus about a dozen just called "Nest".

By looking at your profile, I see you meant The Nest by Cynthia D'Aprix Sweeney. Not my typical area of reading, but that sort of book reminds me of Kane and Abel, Rich Man, Poor Man, or The Thorn Birds. Have you read any of those? Are they what you mean?

Noble House is another good one, but it is part of James Clavell's Asian Saga that starts with Shōgun. Those books are best read in chronological order IMO, although skipping Gai-Jin isn't a bad idea. I think it's the last published & the weakest of the series. It doesn't add much to the story, either. You can find the series in chronological order here.

Joy H. (joyofglensfalls) | 16697 comments Thank you, Amanda.

BTW, I am currently having trouble staying connected to the Internet. So if you don't see me here at the group too often, that is why.

At any rate, welcome to the group. Glad to see you here.
