To be a TCF Copy Cat, you must duplicate some aspect of the chosen book.

It could be a word from the title, the author's name, something on the cover, the genre, the year it was first published, the plot, or a main character's name. The possibilities to imitate are endless.

Levels:
a bit familiar: 1-2 books
just 'inspiration': 3-4 books
too close for comfort: 5-6 books
blatant plagiarism: 7+ books
ultimate copy cat: read the book

Rules:
Duration : January 1 - 31, 2017
Books must be at least 150 pages.
You must state how your book copies this month's book.

This month's book is Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe

Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe by Fannie Flagg by Fannie Flagg - 416 p - Published May 7th 2002 by Random House - setting: Iowa & Alabama - Characters: Ruth, Mrs. Ninny Threadgoode, Evelyn Couch, Idgie - made into movie - stand-alone - hardcover
MPG: Fiction / Historical > Historical Fiction / Womens Fiction > Chick Lit / Glbt / Classics / American > Southern

It's first the story of two women in the 1980s, of gray-headed Mrs. Threadgoode telling her life story to Evelyn, who is in the sad slump of middle age. The tale she tells is also of two women -- of the irrepressibly daredevilish tomboy Idgie and her friend Ruth, who back in the thirties ran a little place in Whistle Stop, Alabama, a Southern kind of Cafe Wobegon offering good barbecue and good coffee and all kinds of love and laughter, even an occasional murder.
