Good luck, Saar! :) looks like we'll be buddies for quite a few reads!

Saar The Book owl | 3089 comments Thanks! Yes, I've seen, I hope to catch up soon with you and the others on reading Temeraire, but still so much other books to read.

Zaara | 4273 comments Saar wrote: "I hope this year will be a better year for BR's than last year."

It deffo will, Saar. Lots left in the year and many many books and series.
:-)
Cool list, btw.
I'll be with you in the Feast for Crows and DwD reads.

Saar The Book owl | 3089 comments I'm abandonning Novik, Auel and Martin for now. It's impossible to read them at the moment.

Saar The Book owl | 3089 comments I really need to stop adding BR's. This is going to be a full time job reading all this.

Zaara | 4273 comments Hey Book Owl,
Just in case you thought I forgot. Or that what I said on the Mordor thread was some sort of polite one-off...I'm still here. And though I don't get a lot of time to be online and we haven't done that many BRs together, if you wanna randomly chat, Saar...or if you wanna read a book...if you wanna be silly on the threads...anytime, just say the word and I will MAKE the time and my wordy abstractions are at your serviiiiiiiiice...haha!

Treeload of OWLS for you. I was saving this beautiful image for Siobhan but know that in this case she will deffo not mind. This is another *hug* from all of us @FBR. Btw, I am the (cunning) obscured owl in hiding. I reserved it already...😂😂😂

Shucks...now I hope it loads! Wouldnt it be too dumb if it didn't?

Zaara | 4273 comments Man I love this image!

Saar The Book owl | 3089 comments Oh, Zaara, I just saw this picture and your message! Many thanks, I love owls so much and thanks for your kind word. I really appreciate it.

Saar The Book owl | 3089 comments I think of deleting year 2018 and start with a clean list.

Saar The Book owl | 3089 comments So, I've deleted 2017 and 2018 to make place for 2019.

message 12: by Virginie (new)

Virginie | 6109 comments Nice! Although you should know: the release of The Light of All That Falls has been pushed to December 2019, so the BR won't happen until then.

Saar The Book owl | 3089 comments Ow, I'll change it. Thanks for letting me know :)

message 14: by Zaara (new)

Zaara | 4273 comments Just checking in Saar.

Saar The Book owl | 3089 comments That's sweet of you, Zaara :) How are you?

Saar The Book owl | 3089 comments So, I've started a whole new BR - tracker for next year. 2019 I've started strong, but halfway the year I've been in a slump until now. I didn't finish much in 2019 and abandonned more books than was healthy ;) Up to a better 2020. (I know, I'm early on that)

Melissa ♥ Dog/Wolf Lover ♥ Martin | 1338 comments Good luck dear!! I’ve gotten more 2 star reviews lately. I’m burning out trying to get all of the books I own read. I hope we both have a better 2020 😊

My extra 2019 Scoresheet stats are like a roadmap of my book feelings...

I came in strong in January with a ton of BRs...
February was rough, and my ratings average suffered...
March/April/May I did less BRs and supplemented my reading with a ton of mysteries and evened out...
June/July work got in the way and I read less...
July/August I did a ton of re-reads of favorites to try and unslump, and as a result my average rating is crazy high....
September/October were pretty good, trying new things and doing a lot of flexible BRs, so my ratings are good...
November has been a bit rough, trying to forcibly clear my TBR of unfinished things, so I've given a lot of 3 star ratings... but some real diamonds in the rough have balanced it out...

Lot of people seem to be "droppin' the ball and chain" and starting fresh in 2020...

I feel your pain. I wanted to read all the books that I've got, but I've failed big time. Oh, well, next year a better plan ;)

I have almost the same. I've started great, but after the summer I've slumped. I wanted to read the whole 'Temeraire' - series and that new series with dragons, but I didn't found the time. And also I wanted to do the Malazan - series after failing last year. Well, epic fail this year.

Indeed, there's only a few weeks until 2020, so, we can all start fresh again.

Dominique | 17 comments Did you still want to read Once Upon a River?

Saar The Book owl | 3089 comments Dominique wrote: "Did you still want to read Once Upon a River?"

Yes, I was posting the data in the topic, but my post is gone. I've asked for a thread. I think I had planned it for March, but I'm not sure. We'll see when the BR - thread appears in the group.

Triple-booking yourself already?

Saar The Book owl | 3089 comments @Virginie: ah, thank you very much!
@Iain: You've seen it allready, but, I can defend myself: the first one has around 150 pages. So you can see it as a double booking and a half ;)

Saar The Book owl | 3089 comments I'm short on BR's, apparently...
