I DO enjoy this feature ... and since I occasionally post a question, I marvel at the length of time that our founder, Roger (Nighthawk), managed to actually post a new question each and every day!
Monday Sept 4th: In the USA we're celebrating Labor Day. Are you doing anything special this holiday?

Went for a boat ride for a couple of hours, otherwise nothing special. Studying for a test I will have to take for my new job.

As usual, I had to work. Seems like my shift always falls on the holidays this year (Thanksgiving and Christmas too this year). Glad I love my job in EMS!

Not everyone could be so brave! Thank you for all the people you save!

Hmmm .... I can come up with one ...
Don't cheat on your spouse.

I'm in Tennessee and we are good for now. I guess we are going to get a lot of rain from the hurricane next week.

Minnesota. About the only thing we worry about here is tornadoes.

Wisconsin .... blizzards in the winter, and tornadoes in the Spring/Summer. But usually we're safe.
I do have family / friends in Texas and in Florida. One friend retired last year and moved to Naples ... YIKES!

September 11, Monday: I made it into a Goodreads article! (https://www.goodreads.com/blog/show/1...) Do you have any stories of friendship made through Goodreads?

First, congrats on your story being published!
Yes ... I met a couple of women through Shelfari and/or Goodreads who live in my home town. When I was still visiting there every couple of months to help my aging parents, I asked first one and then the other if they'd like to meet for lunch or dinner. We've been friends ever since. They even invited me to their book club meetings, and when possible, I arranged my trip to visit Mom & Dad to coincide with their book clubs, and attended! When my father died, and several years later, my mother, one of these special women attended their funerals.

Thursday, 13Sept17: When's the last time you visited your local public library? How many books did you check out?

My kids and I go about every 2 weeks, when I have the weekend off. We checked out 2 books, both for my youngest daughter.

I went yesterday and checked out 12 books!

Everywhere I see so many t-shirts and baseball caps. Even at nice restaurants, few people dress for the occasion.
Paper plates at parties. Nothing tastes good on a paper plate.

Inattentiveness - everyone has their nose in a phone, no one talks to those in front of them. One day, I was out on a beautiful day, with beautiful scenery - I counted at least 15 people on their phones, looking down. No one talking, no one looking around them.

Monday. I checked out 1 book. I have so many of my own to read. If I ever get caught up on them I will probably read more library books.

I was going to say that so I will try to think of something else. One thing I notice is that a lot of people have no contact with nature and don't seem to care about it.

Definitely not. But I am going to. Tomorrow.

I don't like the word "should". I take care of my body as much as I like. I'm healthy and happy!

Have to agree with others who have commented on the preponderance of smart phone usage ... sadly limiting the amount of time people spend actually interacting with one another, or their environment /surroundings on a face-to-face basis.

I definitely could do better ... I don't exercise regularly. But I'm mostly healthy and happy.

Not even close!

I have. Multiple times."
Yes. I think so. I'm working with kids so I hope I did.
September 21, Thursday: If you had the chance to go back in time and change one thing would you do it?

Tomorrow night: Italian group is coming over for pizza and movie
Sunday: Discussion group!

Yes, but it would be hard to pick which one.

A wedding on Saturday. Need to get some salsa canned on Sunday. Day of rest? lol
Leah wrote: "September 22, Friday: Do you have any weekend plans?"
Mani / pedi this morning ... haircut following. Other than that ... just the usual: groceries, cooking, reading (not necessarily in that order).

Probably my car ... a year ago.

Wednesday, September 27: When's the last time you went out with a friend, and what did you do?
I had to cancel plans to meet a friend this morning for breakfast because I am waiting (and waiting ... and waiting) for service guy to show up. AAAARRRRGH

Been awhile since I've been out with a friend that isn't my momma or husband. Went painting with mom last month and I count her as a friend :-).
