Harry learns that Kiz and the Chief of Police maneuvered the case to include him after they'd set up Irving. Is Harry's relationship with Kiz forever altered? What did you think of her statements to Harry about the nobility of the work he does and that, "someday you may appreciate that I do what I need to do so that you can do what you need to do.”?

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments I don't know if he can trust Kiz again. It's like she has been sucked into the 10th floor environment and she's no longer a cop.

Yeah, those words rang hollow even to me, definitely to Harry. I hated seeing her tow that line.

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments I was really disappointed in her. She's changed so much from the rookie cop he partnered.

It’s one thing if it was something they forced her to do. But she actually seemed to believe it was the right thing to do.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments I agree that Harry's relationship with Kiz was altered. There are actually earlier hints in the book that this is the case when Harry mentions that Kiz is right at home on the 10th floor.

That said, I agree witk Kiz about the nobility of Harry's work but not the sentiment that the ends justify the means.

The nobility part was lovely and then she ruined it with her conclusion.
