To be totally honest, I'm not a person who re reads very often, but I know that a lot of people do because they loved the book SO much. So comment down below what books you've read more than once because it was just TOO good!

Jessica Bloody Jack Being an Account of the Curious Adventures of Mary "Jacky" Faber, Ship's Boy (Bloody Jack, #1) by L.A. Meyer series

I actually re-read the series a lot of times. There's like 12 books in the series. One of my top favorite books of all time.

message 4: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) Harry Potter series.

Invincible(a comic series).

message 5: by Jarvis (new)

Jarvis @Natasha : I also don't re read books. What I feel is that when we re read a book, we already know what will happen next so, there is no suspense. What do you think?

I agree with that 8 or 9 out of ten times, but sometimes there's books where if I go back already knowing where things lead, I can better spot the bread crumbs and appreciate how the author built up to the end. It's not common, but when that happens it's as satisfying for me as the suspense is during the original reads.

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah I think that knowing what happens just ruins the suspense, as you said Genha.

electra | 159 comments Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. That's probably my most re-read Harry Potter book; if you haven't guessed, it's my fave, although I do love all of them (view spoiler)

Other than that, I don't re-read often, either. If I do, it's mostly to relive my favorite moments or, as Tommy said, to just look for all the bits and pieces that eventually lead to the ending and, after that, facepalm because I'll never be that good.

message 10: by Jarvis (new)

Jarvis Yeah, I agree with all of you.

message 11: by Johans (new)

Johans | 16 comments The shadowhunter chronicles, I had to re-read all the books before starting with CoHF, and though you already know what's going to happen, there are lot of details you forget, so I don't think it ruins the suspense, it makes you more aware of little details that are crucial for the whole story (of course this only applies for books you really liked, if you're re-reading a book or series you did not liked... well you're gonna have a bad time) :D

message 12: by Kaitlyn (new)

Kaitlyn | 83 comments I'm not one to 're-read' books. I like reading a book, not knowing what will happen next because it's much more thrilling. But, there has been one or two books that I have re-read because catching things that I haven't noticed before is something that I like to do with fantastic books.

My re-read book has to be any one from the Harry Potter series! Even though I already read it, some things still catch me off guard and the writing is honestly amazing. It doesn't seem any different if it's the first time or the hundredth time I read it :)

message 13: by Connie (new)

Connie (proseandconnie) | 481 comments I reread a lot. I find that the second time I read a book, I get more out of it, or notice something I didn't the first time around. But maybe that's just me.

Books I've reread more than once:
all 7 Harry Potter books
first 5 The Mortal Instruments books (and I will reread the last book, just not yet since it released recently)
all 3 books in The Infernal Devices trilogy
The Giver It's short and a fast read, but full of depth and meaning.

(some of the) Books I've reread:
Divergent
The Fault in Our Stars
The Book Thief
The Lightning Thief
Dragon Rider

I also reread the first five books before CoHF released in preparation, I definitely needed that detail-refresh, haha.

Elly, the Martian (bblackstar96) | 21 comments I usually only read books once, it has something to do with the feeling and that I'mkind of afraid to lose that feeling if I re-read it. But. There is this one book i've read like 7 times. It was so good and the feeling never disappears. And that book is Flowers in the Attic <3 I love it <3

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

@Elly I've read Flowers In The Attic as well and OMG that book freaked me out SO much! Complete shocker, I'm too scared to read it again lol! Have you seen the Lifetime movie that came out last year?

message 17: by Elly, (new)

Elly, the Martian (bblackstar96) | 21 comments No I don't think I've ever heard of it :p What's it about? Is it connected to the book somehow?

My first time I read Flower in the Attic, I was like 13 years old and I do agree that the story is freaky.

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah, the movie is actually called Flowers In The Attic and the production company "Lifetime" adapted it to a movie because the 1987 book-to-film adaptation of it was pretty terrible. You should totally watch it, I think they did a pretty good job of including the horrors of the novel.

Connie (proseandconnie) | 481 comments I haven't heard of Flowers in the Attic before, but I just looked up the synopsis and oh gosh, it sounds creepy xD should I read it?

message 20: by Elly, (new)

Elly, the Martian (bblackstar96) | 21 comments Yes you should! it totally worth it! even if it is horrible, the novel is great (:

Jessica Sometimes when I decide to reread a book what I end up doing is skim it and really just go to my favorite parts of the book.

This book helps me out of slumps too! Typically I just open to a random page and read a bit, then open to another random page and continue reading... Gus and Hazel always lift my spirits with their banter, haha.
