Summary: Franny and Zooey is a combination of two short stories, where "Franny" was the first one written and "Zooey" picks up where Franny left off. Franny Glass meets her boyfriend for a football weekend at his college but they do not get to participate in many activities because Franny starts having mental breakdowns. She starts complaining about the phoniness and egotistical people at her school. After this, "Zooey" or Buddy Glass, one of Franny and Zooey's older brothers talks about what happens. Zooey is convinced by her mother to have a talk with Franny; however this talk takes over for most of the book talking about different theological ideas and have a very personal discussion. There two different mix of their opposite religious background starts to blend together and they start to figure out their problems.

Explanation: I gave this book a three out of five starts; however, that was a very generous rating. Personally this book was pretty boring and how the book had a very heavy influence of religion too it was very boring. Even though I did not like it, I could appreciate the book because of the great variety of vocabulary and structure of sentence so it was easy to follow.
