Hi there, I just joined this group. I was scrolling through Goodreads and came across this challenge and thought, "How cool"! So, with that said, I'd like to participate. I'm not a very quick reader, so I'll keep it simple with only one or two books per month, especially since I'm a member of NetGalley. I can't wait to check out the other challenges. If it is the last book in the series, then yes it could count. (This is the "Finish (or get caught up on) a series (this is an exception to the nothing from the current year rule)" alternate task.) The other way is if you read nothing but that author's books for the month. (This is the "Knock out all of (or as many as you can) of the books by a certain author on your TBR" alternate task.) An example of this would be like "Book 2 in my series is by Katie Ruggle, but it's not published in February, and I didn't add it to my TBR in February. If I read the entire series for this challenge month, I can count it!"
The other way was if it was published or added to your TBR in January or March, to fit the "Read a book from the month before or the month after the month you’re working on." task. You could also check and see if the "Read a book that has a title that starts with the same letter of the month you’re working on" task will fit your book. The "Read a book that has the letters of the month you’re working on in the title (does not have to be in consecutive order)" task could also fit it. Without knowing the book, it's harder to be able to guide you, but I hope that helps a bit!
Edit to add: Just looking at your post, most of your January reads don't fit because all you have is when you added them to your TBR, and no alternate tasks are listed with them. If you're going just by added to your TBR date, then everything has to be added in January of 2017 or in January of any year earlier.

The object of this year long challenge is to knock off as many books as you can from your TBR. First you’ll pick a level, then each month you’ll read books that were put on your TBR during that same month of any previous year (except for the current year). You can join the challenge at any time, but the challenge is to be completed within 1 year of your chosen start date. RE-READS ARE NOT ALLOWED FOR THIS CHALLENGE!! There will also be alternate options just in case you run out of books from a certain month.
Please put when the book was added to your TBR, and the date you finally read the book when you post. DO NOT POST A DUPLICATE POST TO ANNOUNCE THAT YOU HAVE FINISHED THE CHALLENGE!! Duplicate posts will be deleted!
An example for me for the easy level would be:

If you run out of books during a certain month, you can use one or more of these to make your level goal for the month. You can also make up your own alternates, but they have to work with the challenge.
Alternate Options
• Read a book from the month before or the month after the month you’re working on.
• Read the oldest book on your TBR
• Finish (or get caught up on) a series (this is an exception to the nothing from the current year rule)
• Knock out all of (or as many as you can) of the books by a certain author on your TBR
• Read a book that has a title that starts with the same letter of the month you’re working on
• Read a book that has an author with a last name that starts with the same letter of the month you’re working on
• Read a book that has the letters of the month you’re working on in the title (does not have to be in consecutive order)
• Read a book that was published in the month you’re working on
