Caro (karopi) | 995 comments Last two years I have been in a reading slump. This year even more than the last. I am not sure what had happen with me. But I feel bad. I used to be reading more and this year I just did not feel the spark. So for next year I hope things will be different. I will not impose TBR to myself but I will try to put what I have been reading. I will not participate in many challenge, instead I will limit myself to personal challenge (more info will be posted in my corner of 2018).
So for 2018 I plan to empty my shelves instead of just watching them grow...

Sounds like a plan Caro!
I’d been in a reading slump for many years when I joined this group. It has really helped me to rekindle my passion for reading. Especially the group and buddy reads. You may want to try that. It’s really motivating reading books together and discuss them.
In any case I wish you a very happy reading year, I hope you’ll encounter some amazing reads!!

Hello Susy Thanks a lot! Actually that is what drive me to the reading slump, I decide to commit to many challenge and buddy reads that I do not longer enjoy my reading and instead or reading for pleasure I was reading for obligation so I ended up throwing everything around. This month I decide to read what I am in the mood and make way more progress than the rest of the year, so this year my goals will be more simple and hopefully easier to met.

Caro (karopi) | 995 comments Ok so this is 2018...
For this year I made several promises. Among them. Enjoy more my reading, Been in a book ban (Have over 200 books in my shelves that I did not read yet. So my challenge will be quite flexible to not feel the obligation to finish certain books.... Sort of... Nevertheless I will try to have some order and read a few specific books till the end of the month. I will have a Mandatory book and a couple of Flexible ones.

Caro (karopi) | 995 comments February:

For February I plan to finish a couple of books that I left in my DNF Shelves. It will be a good exercise to know if I should really let go those books for good or if I will finish them. Since there are quite a few I will not mention it yet.

Blagica | 12941 comments A book is a dream that you hold in your hand. I hope that April brings you many more five star reads. Do you have a stand out book so far this year?

Rachael (allons-y-bookworm) | 4735 comments I also want to empty my shelves but it's hard when I keep seeing more books I want to read. Hope you are enjoying the books you're reading this year!

Thanks a lot :) Yes actually this year I feel happy with my reading. I know I can read more... But enjoy more my reading than in the last years... It seems I am getting in the right direction...

Susy (susysstories) Enjoying your reads is more important than the amount of books you read! (although there are so many great books...I would love to be able to read more myself 😉)
