Roberto Llamas (RobertoLlamasAvalos) | 1 comments Personally the design of the cover it's something it attracts me as a reader. Also if the prolog of the story interest me enough i'll buy it. if a friend suggest a book to me, i'll read it. how about all of you?

Nikki Sojkowski (nikkisoj) I completely agree. I know you're not supposed to judge a book by its cover, but when I see tons of books by authors I've never read, what's going to draw me in is its cover. Cool graphics and having an interesting blurb will cement the deal and put said book on my to-read list. Purchasing at a good deal will also convince me to buy a book so it also depends on where I go, what sales are going on, and if I have enough money to splurge on books (a reason why I like to stop by the library instead of a bookstore)

Brooke (brookeluvsbooks) I love books with beautiful covers and I try to find hidden gems as well as popular books.

Jacinda (jacindadietz) The finishing details - the cover, book size, paper type - make a huge impact on whether I will buy a book or not. When I'm reading a book, I want to hold something that feels nice. It's an overall experience, not just the words on the page.

The aesthetics really only make a difference on books I'm unfamiliar with though. If I already know an author or a book has been recommended to me, I'll just buy, download, or borrow whatever is available.

Lade (ladet) | 112 comments The first thing that draws me to a book is a great cover. If you have a beautiful/interesting cover, then I'd be more interested in your book. Next, is the title. If you have a weird, funny, interesting title, I'll read the blurb. And if I like the blurb, I'm sold

Katy Haye | 2 comments A fabulous cover and title will get me to pick up the book and read the blurb, and it's the blurb that really sells a book to me - unless I already know and love the author, that is!
