Frank seems to have lots of family issues. Were you able to figure out what’s probably wrong with his son?

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 694 comments I was thinking a clubbed foot and possibly deaf but Frank's musings of looking into "blank eyes" also had me wondering.

I thought the same two afflictions also but that child certainly looked Sarah in the eyes and communicated with her. I believe Frank thinks they're blank eyes because the child isn't responding to what he's saying.

It's going to be a glorious moment when they realize little Brian isn't "simple."

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments I wasn't sure what to make of Brian's condition. My first thought when it was mentioned that Brian would never walk, was that he had cerebal palsey or something of that nature. When he said he was "simple", I thought maybe it was brain damage when he was born. It didn't occur to me that he could possibly be deaf, but it makes sense.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments My initial thoughts were brain damage as a result of lack of oxygen at birth. I was very glad for Frank when it turned out to be deafness. The man deserves some good news so to speak.

My first thought was also cerebral palsy, Robin.
