Here's the thread for this. Would have set it up sooner but was out of town.

Marcus | 148 comments Read this in vacation in July. Loved it. Obviously adds little to the main narrative, but we get a great tale from the history of Midworld, and some more interesting insights into Roland's past as a nice follow up to W&G

Summer (paradisecity) | 360 comments This is such a great little story. It had a great mood and tone and like LIttle Sisters of Eluria, it was nice to see Roland on a mini adventure that wasn’t directly DT related.

Vince (dbzvin) | 2 comments This is my first readthrough, this story is great so far. I'm about 75% through it. I decided to read this one before I read Wolves of Calla, no regrets.

Marcus | 148 comments Ok, so in the argument (I think) in WotC, there is a reference to Marten possibly being Maerlyn. Doesn't this book basically proven otherwise?

Linda (beaulieulinda117gmailcom) | 1115 comments I loved this one. It was also my first read through and I liked where it picked up right at the end of The Drawing of the Three.

mrbooks | 1469 comments Yes it he did a good job of linking it to Wizards and Glass I like the reveal on how the Billy Bumblers are able to predict these storms.

Nancy (paper_addict) | 942 comments I am starting this tonight. I know, I am behind, again.

mrbooks | 1469 comments It's no problem Nancy we are here for you. Trust me you aren't that far behind.

Nancy (paper_addict) | 942 comments This is the only book in the series I have not read. I have been waiting to do a re-read. So I am excited!

mrbooks | 1469 comments Nancy I predict you will love this book as much as you do the others.

It's a really well told story within a story within a story

Nick Iuppa | 4272 comments Just getting into the wind through the keyhole story after trying to track down the skin-man. This is my second read and I'm remembering how much I liked it the first time.

Nancy (paper_addict) | 942 comments I’m up to the part where they found Young Bill and Roland has a plan....

Nancy (paper_addict) | 942 comments Tim is almost on his way to find Maerlyn’s house in the Endless Forest...

I thought maybe a body was going to be in that trunk.

Hey, Monique, Dark Tower is a great choice too, though you may wonder after reading the first book. Things pick up after that.

Not a bad idea. Reading the series will take you out for a while, though you seem to be reading really quickly.

Marcus, The gunslinger is a difficult book to get your head around but it serves it's purpose and is worth reading.

Linda (beaulieulinda117gmailcom) | 1115 comments I loved the Gunslinger far better the second time around

mrbooks | 1469 comments Yes on the second reading it is better but then it is also easier to see how it fits into the series as well.

Nick Iuppa | 4272 comments Finally finished this, liked it a lot. Not as powerful as W & G but still offering a memorable story, good insights into the making of Roland, and especially his feelings about his mother.

mrbooks | 1469 comments I like how he wrote a story where the character tells a story to his ka-tet and in this story he tells a young lad another story. It is hard for me to write the analysis just imagine how hard it is to actually write it the story. OK which story am I in and which one am I telling and which one is the main story. My head hurts just thinking about it.

Jenny a.k.a....Jenny from the block | 725 comments Wizard and Glass is on my list to read; my question is should I read the wind through the keyhole next after that or move onto book 5?

Nancy (paper_addict) | 942 comments Read Wind Through the Keyhole next. It was intended to be after Wizard and Glass and it does take place right after Wizard and Glass but it’s more a pit stop on their travels and Roland tells another story from his youth. The story he is telling also takes place after Wizard and Glass.

mrbooks | 1469 comments Read Wind through the Keyhole, it is a good lead in to The wolves of the Calla

Tracy | 163 comments Wow, this was great. I know King is a great writer, but to write a story within a story, within another story...that's just crazy. But, it was great. It was so well done. I still miss our main characters, but I really loved this book.
