"Annie Wilkes was the perfect audience, a woman who loved stories without having the slightest interest in the mechanics of making them. She was the embodiment of that Victorian archetype, Constant Reader. She did not want to hear about his concordance and indices because to her Misery and the characters surrounding her were perfectly real."

This quote made me think. I am fully interested in the mechanics of making a story and at the same time, I'm fully immersed while reading a story. I don't think deep thoughts while reading. It's fully emotional. How does the story make me feel, NOT how does this story make me think. While I'm writing my review and I'm reflecting on how to proceed that is when the book makes me think. The emotional reading instead of the think reading might be because of the books I choose to read. I am an entertainment reader after all. Would I be considered a Constant Reader? I don't know...

There is a post on Stephen King's website about being a Constant Reader. https://stephenking.com/xf/index.php?... As you can see people call themselves "SKCR if...." and I would definitely consider myself a Constant Reader of King, or a Constant Reader of horror.

What kind of Constant Reader are you?
