That majestic libraries are great but it's the little ones and the mobiles ones that touch me the most.
I loved the overdue book donation!

hahaha, I hope you live somewhere warm! I love the idea of putting books in people's hands too. I have a fantasy of having a little bookstore that only sells Canlit.
Me too @Kim... a CanLit bookstore with a resident cat!
@Storyheart - lol - i would travel to see that!

Yup, a cat or two is a must. I loved The Double Hook bookstore in Montreal, but sadly it closed well over 10 years ago.

There was talk of putting library vending machines on the subways
in Toronto but I don't know what came of that.
Ottawa is getting ready to also build a new public library-I'm not
sure any designs are out yet.

usual stuff you would find in a university library collection. They
are very popular and intended to be a distraction for students who
have their other reading to do.
The main library now lends out board games, kind of strange because the current generation live on their lap tops and you would think there are plenty of games there....
Plus during exam period one library brings in petting dogs to
help students with stress. From the pictures the dogs look beautiful.
Love the idea of outside space at the Halifax library!
