Hey Basma glad to have you back:) How was your summer or whatever?

It's kind of sad to see that everyone on this site is sort of dead. I stopped being active for about 2 months because everyone was kinda just neglecting this entire site. It's really discouraging to even appreciate with almost no one even trying anymore.

Perhaps we can try to find out what keeps people active in a book group. I see a lot of discussion pages but they seem to putter away after a few short posts.

I can give an example: Last month, I joined one of the buddy reads and tried to pace myself with the other reader but after I finished the book and put forth a couple of opinions/questions and then never heard back. That would certainly be very discouraging. I noticed that most of the buddy reads seemed to do that.

Perhaps a chat about what people like in groups and what they don't? Or a question of what people like about this group? It does seem very broad (which I like but for others it might means we lose people who are looking for specific books to read ....

Maybe I should make up some polls asking people what they like about the group and what they would like to see improved with the group would help.

That will help figure out how many people are still active on here. Lol. Also, I do see a lot of great challenges and we should continue to make more but I was seeing a lot of these tags on youtube that Booktubers are making, I was thinking it could be fun to recreate onto here to get group members to interact more with each other. Not just having challenges together but it's a way to get people to talk about themselves in a fun away.

What sort of questions should I ask in the polls?
