I recommend reading ‘Until Susan’ by C.P. Smith! He falls in love with her immediately and doesn’t mess around when it comes to his woman.

Even though this thread is fairly old, I love well written stories with this aspect, ... the Hero invested in the relationship first. So I thought I'd give it a bump and see if anyone cares to add to it as well.

I have a shelf titled "This is Happening," listing books where the male MC decides that he is going to win the female MC. Some of the books listed are darker, so it's not just the Hero falling in love first, necessarily. But they all fall under the romance spectrum, so to speak. : ) (For example, is a rough read for some, but I have it on the list because the male protagonist definitely decides he wants the heroine.)
