Frank’s relationship with his son seems to continue to deepen. Do you think the surgery was a success?

Phrynne | 607 comments Oh I hope it is! And I want to see him go on and learn how to 'speak'.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments I hope so too.

I loved the moment when he embraced him tightly, putting his face in his curls. I wish the cast had come off in this book and feel almost certain the surgery was a success.

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 694 comments I love all the moments with Frank and Brian. It just warms my heart and I'm so, so happy for the both of them. I know it was a big leap of faith for Frank to take this step and he's in such a different emotional place than he was when the series started. A new life has opened up for him, for the both of them, whether the surgery works or not.

I had empathy for him before given that his wife died giving birth to Brian, the child looks like his mother (constant reminder) and had a club foot. The fact that he seemed mentally challenged had to have made Frank feel deficient, like it somehow was his fault.

~ Giulia ~ | 193 comments I say this every time, but I need an entire book only about Frank and Brian. The kid is too precious.

Or at least a few dedicated chapters.

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments I thought they would remove Brian's cast at the end of this book and would start teaching him how to walk. Maybe it will be at the beginning of the next book.

Then I wonder what Frank's mother will do?

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 7669 comments Mod
Hopefully, she’ll adapt but I don’t give that high odds. She seems to like the dependency.

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 694 comments She does at that.
