I wonder why the author felt it necessary to kill off Richard? I liked how he and Frank ended up working together to save Sarah and their competition would have been fun. His death caught me off guard.
I love this series and it took extreme willpower not to peek into the next book.

I hate love triangles with a passion. But since Sarah’s feelings were absolutely clear from the beginning, this one didn’t bug me.


I don’t normally have the patience for these type of slow burns but something about these two are so authentic it’s working for me😊

Me too, Charlene. I think Sarah could have played matchmaker with one of her rich friends.

I'm enjoying the slow burn but it does need to speed up a bit.
The mystery was predictable but I'm enjoying reading about the time period and the relationships.
