Jiyun | 7 comments Evan was a boy who moves to an old castle-looking house with his family: his mother and a younger sister. His parents got divorced, and his father never wants to visit to see them, especially the younger sister. His family gets pretty excited because the house is huge, but they did not know that the house is “alive.” A ghost girl, who was killed by a boy who she loved, possessed the house.
When he moves into the house with his family, the ghost sees him, but he does not realize her existence. I think she is getting liking him and feel that he is really alive unlike her. On the other hand, Evan starts to dream about a girl who he does not know. He was surprised by how real the dream is and he cannot forget her even though it was only dream and happening only inside of his brain. Since then, Evan and his younger sister start to see something in house. Especially his sister is able to see the ghost girl. He is getting like the girl who was in his dream even though he has a girlfriend. He cannot get him away from thoughts about the girl in dream even while he was with his girlfriend.

This book is mixed of story and poetry. The perspective of Evan, alive human, is written by ordinary story, but the perspective of the ghost girl is written by poetry. Therefore, you can easily know who is speaking in this book. Personally, I liked the way this book typed rather than the way this is written. Since the ghost’s perspective is used by poetry, the sentences are written not uniformly but instead, the sentences look like they are floating on pages. There are even some pages that only one sentence is taking place on. I loved that poetry sentences are written like this because it actually reminds me of ghost. It felt like that a ghost girl is floating around the house and pushed and pulled by winds. I actually did not love the story because it seemed that the story never actually goes on because the story goes really slowly. I know that he just cannot get his mind away from her, but there is no way he can talk to or even see her because he just does not see ghosts. Since there is no communication way between them, I felt like Evan’s story and the girl’s story do not really match one another.
