Fantasy and Vampire Book Club discussion

So lots of travel and warm lazy days for us in the North, and I thought I would do a easy 12 book challenge.
Here are the categories.
1. New author or series you've been wanting to start.
2. An indulgent read, whether a re-read of a favorite or a book you think of as fluff, fluffy, or something you love but wouldn't brag about reading, like erotica, romance, etc...
3. Continue a series that you enjoy or read the latest new release.
4. And because we are Vampire and Fantasy, I'm going to stretch it and make Fantasy any fantasy, including scifi and pure fantasy or PNR/UF as we usually do.

Try to read one book of each and 12 of any combo. Post your favorite 5 reads separately. and lets see if we can get one of the others to read one of your favorites from the summer.

I don't know if I can do 12, but here is what I got so far. I am going on a cruise in July, so I am going to try to bang a few out...

- A book I have wanted to read for about 5 years. (Own it, read book)
- A quick, fun read, with no series, but about a series I adore. (Own it, read book)
- A new series, horror, I have wanted to read for a while and just got in the mail. (Own it, read book)

2. An indulgent read, whether a re-read of a favorite or a book you think of as fluff, fluffy, or something you love but wouldn't brag about reading, like erotica, romance, etc...
DONE - Audio re-read because I want to continue the series, but cannot remember what happened. (Audio own)

IN PROGRESS - Audio read because I have been slacking on this series, but I have to do it in Audio only. (Audio rental)

- Last book in a series I have wanted to complete for a while, but never have time. (Own it, read book)
- Audio this series! I love this series and can't to read this one, probably on Audio because it is German, audiobooked into English. (Audio-Audible)

I'm updating but I've been on such a crazy reading spree that I could fill this multiple times.
