Tori | 5 comments Pillow Thoughts by Courtney Peppernell is a book very similar to Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur. It is a collection of poetry about heartbreak, love and raw emotions.

The plot of this book is very interesting and quick. I thought it was sweet and genuine, I found myself feeling many different emotions while reading this book. During parts of it I was happy and smiling, I was very amused and was laughing, but other parts I was so crushed that I started tearing up. The majority of the book was pleasant and relatable, but my only complaint is that some parts were very repetitive which I see happen in a lot of books like this.

For the writing style, I thought it was appropriate for the type of book it is, and for myself as the reader. Not at any point of this point of this book did I think there was an awkward phrase or section where I did not understand what was happening. Courtney Peppernell did a very good job at keeping a good flow and making her transitions into the next sections very smooth. She did not leave the ending of each section wishing there was more to it.

Although I thought this was an amazing book, it was not one of favorites. There is no specific reason as to why though. I would recommend this others, especially people who are feeling alone and need to be reassured they aren't. I believe most people will be able to connect with and find meaning in within it.
