Tori | 5 comments The Sun and Her Flowers is another book written by Rupi Kaur. This book is about falling down and then rising back up. This book is separated into five sections: wilting, falling, rooting, rising, and blooming. I found that The Sun and Her Flowers and Milk and Honey are very similar book but they are not identical. I liked this book because it seemed so personal.

One section that I really liked was about immigration and refugees. It was different because I never really read about that stuff and it was so different than Milk and Honey. Normally if you read books by the same author, you think the books would be similar. In a way the books were very similar, the structure of the writing and the vocabulary, I thought it was going to be another book about self-love. It turned out not to be.

This book was hard to follow because of the lack of punctuation. I also found this with Milk and Honey too. Kaur included some long poems and they were hard to follow because you did not know when to finish and when to keep going. I found that I had to stop and reread what I previously read slowly due to be very confused and fusing all of the writing into one very long sentence. If from the start, you knew to read slowly and process every word, I think this book would be very enjoyable.

I highly recommend this book because it has a poem for every emotion. I think everyone should get the chance to ready this book because it describes each emotion perfectly and everyone can relate to it somehow.
