When the school was under attack, we got to see Hunter and his team in action, including the strategic decisioning and tactics. Was this interesting? Did it add or detract from the suspense and excitement?

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments I think my mind goes to a different place when reading the strategic aspect of such stories. I think it's necessary to be there, but I read it with a different lens than other parts of the story. {If this makes sense to anyone besides me....}

Laura I get you Charlene. I'm like that with police procedurals. In this case I found it interesting,

Charlene, it makes perfect sense. The author wrote this so well that it felt like part of the action. While I was extremely agitated as the attack unfolded, the tactical decisions helped ease it as i got that the team was in control. The minute-by-minute iteration of instructions added to my overall capture and enjoyment of the scene.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 849 comments I found it very interesting and a fascinating view of command decisions. It brought home the very real danger the school was in. It didn't portray the Pakistani police/military very favorably, almost like the just didn't care about the children and adults trapped there. Like they only cared about making sure the Titanium team knew who was in charge.

CD {Boulder Blvd} (boulderblvd) | 39 comments I liked getting the strategy and planning as it made the plot line seem more "real".

Their behavior was curious, confirming Hunter’s perception of them...not always a group they can count on.

That’s what I was trying to inarticulately say!

Anita (anitanodiva) | 849 comments I didn't trust any Pakistani people from that point forward, even the hospital people.

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 101 comments I really enjoyed getting the strategic planning. It made it feel like I was right there with them. What a terrifying situation that would have been.

Christina T (crysteena73) | 180 comments I loved seeing the team in action and it helped solidify how dangerous it was for those girls to attend school.
