Those are all writers who fit in this club! Please make specific title recs here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... (If you don't provide specific titles, you are at my mercy. Bwahahahahaha.)

I am writing this on September 11, 2018, and I would like to welcome all of you who have joined recently. It took me a minute to realize why we were getting so many new members. (We are featured on the group homepage right now.)
We've been around for about six years now, and I've done my best to be a welcoming place for anyone who wants to participate. There are no expectations regarding how often you post, so feel free to join us whenever you want or not at all if that is your jam. Please suggest books in the provided thread if there is anything you want us to read together. (Although it may take us awhile to get to it; for various reasons I plan 4 or 5 months ahead.)
Some folks get confused by the word "classics" in our group name. Classic in this case mostly just means older than 25 years. While we do occasionally read something that is considered a "classic" novel, we only do so if it is also considered a genre book. This is a place where you can try older mysteries, romances, westerns, sci fi, fantasy, thrillers etc. A lot of groups focus on more highbrow stuff, but I thought we needed a place to talk about the genre books that aren't getting as much attention. Some of the books have ended up being wonderful, and other ones have totally sucked. It is okay to trash our current read, but please remember to treat each other with respect and courtesy.
Have fun everyone!
