I'll give this another go... maybe be less of a point hound next year, and finish it, even tho I have to read my kindle to do so...

Ha Ha!! We are waiting to start Stormed Fortress on the 23rd this month. Olivia, Daniel and I. We are jumping on board for a re-read. :D

I actually bought book one based on your recommendation, Olivia but haven't read it so far because I was hoping for another BR :)
It's encouraging to see there are people here who love it enough to do a reread so soon :)

You can always trust us to do more Buddy Reads... as the group keeps growing, people need to catch up on all the great books we've found ;)
At this point, i think we can count on 25-50% of all BRs to be repeats... makes it easy to not feel bad if you are too busy to manage a book you want to read eventually when it shows up the first time...

I also got the idea from Olivia.
But the BR for Crown of Stars, there are a group of us that when that series is finished, we want to start this one because we are loving all the vintage classic fantasy series!
I wil request the next two books as well for every two months. I will need that time to find each of them!

Would you like me to post chapter summaries for it the way Scott did with Malazan? To pinpoint some stuff that even I originally missed and other stuff that is important later on? Or perhaps clear up things that seem confusing at first look? I won't be able to make them as good as Scott did because his are absolutely awesome but I could give it a try. So let me know. :)

Lots of Janny Wurts fans around here... have you read all the books in the series?... or just the early ones?

Sounds really good to me :) I haven't read Malazan yet, so I can only imagine how helpful it will be :)

If you wouldn't mind doing this, I think it would be fantastic. We've got quite a big group starting the series and extra guidance is always appreciated <3

Yes, that's a great idea!

I'll just reserve two comments for them once I start and maybe Iain could add a link to them in his comment as that's the first.
Or should we make a separate thread with chapter summaries for the entire series?
Which would be better?

There are 18 chapters and 1 prologue so 19 summaries in total, as the prologue requires one of it's own.
Would 1 summary per comment be more comfortable?

I think it should not be more than 2 summaries per comment.

Thanks Daniel.

Speaking of chapter summaries, for each Chapter set the summary would be around 5 doc pages long (with Times New Roman 12). That is including all extra explanations and quoted phrases/paragraphs. Would you all be willing to read them if they are that long? Because if not, I'll have to think of an alternate method to simply point out the important stuff.
So let me know please.
