Martineau was a dirty cop. Julian accidentally killed him when he tried to kill Maura.
Cathy Weiss was Katie Sheldon. She shot and killed Jeremiah. Police then shot and killed her.
Thirty years ago, Monty Loftus accepted money to bury toxic nerve gas. It began weeping out of the ground, killing everyone at Kingdom Come. He forced Jane to shoot him rather than go to prison.
