Is Halloween a holiday you'd like to read more books set around? I don't like holiday themed books in general. Maybe one day I'll find one that will change my mind.

Would you recommend? (view spoiler)

Not on purpose. I'm not a big Halloween fan.

Would you recommend? This isn't my favorite Agatha Christie book, but I would recommend it to those who like her mysteries.

Is Halloween a holiday you'd like to read more books set around? No, I don't really love Halloween.
Would you recommend? I would recommend Agatha Christie. I'm not sure if this is one of the best because I haven't read a lot of her books.

Sarah, your spoiler made me laugh out loud! The Legend of Sleepy Hollow is on my TBR list for this month. I did not know it was (view spoiler). What an incredible turn of phrase! You've made my morning.

Haha, thanks Heather. I was trying to think of an "all ages" way of describing the character

Is Halloween a holiday you'd like to read more books set around? Actually, yes. We love this time of year, Halloween included!
Would you recommend? Nah, not really. I thought the book was a bit boring, but it is targeted for a younger audience so was easy to read.

Is Halloween a holiday you'd like to read more books set around? I think I'd enjoy reading more books set around Halloween. I don't normally actively search out a holiday-centric title, but I would enjoy a good mystery set around this time of year. If I hadn't already completed this prompt earlier in the year, I would've done the group read since I love Agatha Christie and haven't read Hallowe'en Party yet.
Would you recommend? No, I wouldn't. I read this one since it was nominated for an Agatha this year and do not plan to read more in the series. I ended up skimming quite a bit and only finished it because I was trying to make an informed decision before casting my vote for that category.

Is Halloween a holiday you'd like to read more books set around?
Halloween is a relatively new concept in India and still restricted only to a very small group of urban young, so not exactly a holiday which really means much to me, nor something that am very curious or eager to read about. As for the book I read, it's set in England (being a Hercule Poirot murder mystery), and even in the plot, the characters consider Halloween as an American thing and prefer to call their party an Eleven Plus party instead of Halloween.

Would you recommend?
It was interesting, but I felt some conversations quite repetitive. Not one of the best Agatha Christie murder mysteries. I'd definitely not recommend it to someone who hasn't read Hercule Poirot or Agatha Christie before.

Is Halloween a holiday you'd like to read more books set around? Not really, I don't particularly care about Halloween.
Would you recommend? I always enjoy Agatha Christie books, and this was no exception even if it's not one of her best. But I wouldn't recommend it to somebody who hasn't ever read Agatha Christie before.

Is Halloween a holiday you'd like to read more books set around?
Nope. It's not a holiday that's celebrated in my country and I don't find it a particularly interesting subject.

Would you recommend?
This is the only Agatha Christie book that I've read that I didn't enjoy. I found a lot of the conversation and ideas repetitive, and although I enjoyed Christie's parody of herself, I found the book poorly written overall. So, no. Just to dispel the disappointment, I picked up Murder on the Orient Express, which I read in one sitting. Now THAT was a MUCH better mystery and a MUCH better read.

Would you recommend? My least favorite Agatha Christie so far, but it was OK.

Would you recommend? I'm not really a fan of horror, so I wouldn't recommend this book on that basis. I also found the narrative style--switching between third and second voice--distracting.

Would you recommend? This might have been my least favorite prompt. None of the suggestions in the thread appealed to me so I selected a children's book. We're a pug household, and I recognized the expressions in the illustrations since I've seen them on my pups. I think this would be a fun book for young readers, plus a great library addition for pug lovers.

Would you recommend? No. It was not at all what I was expecting and felt a lot longer than it should have.

Is Halloween a holiday you'd like to read more books set around? Not unless they're picture books I'm reading to my kids. Also, there were a few that came up that were on my TBR, but not because they had anything to do with Halloween
Would you recommend? Nope. I'm not even sure what I just read?

Is Halloween a holiday you'd like to read more books set around?: Not really, I like spooky books but it doesn't need to be set around Halloween to be spooky
Would you recommend?: Yes. It was a good way to dip my toes into David Mitchell's writing to see if I might enjoy some of his longer books
